Could someone pls tell me how diplomacy works in Westeros? Do you make alliances through a diplomat or just PM a player? Another thing, I see that the Martells are allied with the Tyrells from the beginning. Is this reset in the game files? not that I have anything against the Tyrells

Diplomacy is usually agreed upon through PMs and or in-game messaging and finalised using a diplomat to make an alliance official. Tyrell start allied with Martell as that is how the scenario was created in the submod, it remains that way when in a HS I believe. This does not however mean that that alliance must be withheld as players tend to create their own alliances and agreements that contradict those in the game files, but as said in the OP role play is encouraged so if an agreement is broken or otherwise try to come up with some interesting RP to make it seem believable (not required but always appreciated).

We do not need a philosopher on the Iron Throne, a weak man who doesn't know how to lift a sword,

Growing Strong and Staying Strong

"Still no word from King Daeron father?" Theodore Tyrell spoke first while his younger brother Harlan kept his peace.

"Nothing." Lord Leo replied. "He'll assume our loyalty no doubt, but he'll send an envoy once he learns Blackfyre's sent one of his own already."

"We should side with Daemon." Edgerran Tyrell added his voice to the discussion as he sat sharpening his blade. "The man is a warrior, he'd make a grand king."

"You just want to fight the Dornish, any excuse eh Ed?" Theodore smiled at his younger sibling

"It's practically a tradition dear brother." Edgerran returned a smile

"I agree with Ed." Harlan finally spoke, in truth wishing to prove himself to his father and brothers. He couldn't do that unless Highgarden picked a side.

Lord Leo sighed at his sons reckless desire for battle. "A good lord must put aside his personal desires and do what's best for his people, whatever you desire my boys is second to the welfare of the Reach. Lord Leo stared at Ed more than the others. "We will keep our word to the Blackfyre envoy and regain our castles without bloodshed, once this is done and our lands secured we can discuss what course of action is best for the Reach."

The Reach shall remain neutral in the coming conflict until it's borders are secured and it's more rebellious lands are returned to the fold. Harlan and Edgerran head East to gather the banners alongside Lord Tarly while Theodore heads to rally the banners of Oldtown and the surrounding regions. The youngest son Axell is sent North to secure Old Oak from the rebels in his fathers name. Once the Reach is secure Highgarden will make it's choice, for better or worse.

"That is not the way to win our father over." Harlan couldn't help but agree with his brother as they rode towards Lord Tarly's host

Edgerran laughed. "The Reach will not suffer threats lightly. I shall not suffer threats lightly!"

"Calm yourself Ed." Harlan noted his brothers hand on the pommel of his sword. "Remember what father said, whatever we desire is second to the welfare of the Reach."

Rain clapped against the old stone walls of Riverun and even from within the keep old maester Candry could hear the Tumblestone churning like a great slumbering beast. The autumn rains had arrived and winter would not be far off. The old maester allowed himself a smile, the Starks have the way of it, he thought, a cold and bitter lot the northerner’s might be but they have the way of it. Winter is Coming. Candry had seen eleven winters in his time and all of them bitter and cold. Even now in the walls of Riverun he could feel winters long gaunt fingers stretching out from the wild north. A cold so deep Candry could feel it in his bones. He shuddered and pulled the flickering candle light closer.
Candry’s old joints creaked and groaned near every step and by the time he had reached Lord Medger Tully’s soldier the hour of the wolf had come. Candry tentatively gave the door a knock knowing full well his lord was awake. He’s always awake to hear the first of the autumn rains.
“Who is it?” Lord Tully asked gruffly.
“Candry, My lord. There’s been a raven.”
The door opened and Lord Medger stood red bearded and fierce garbed in a simple blue and red tunic the silver trout of his house emblazoned over the heart. “A raven at this hour? In a storm like this?”
“It is a most dire message my lord.”
“You should have called for Pete to help you up the stairs. If you fall again I doubt you’ll ever rise,” Lord Tully said closing the door behind Candry.
The old maester attempted to conceal the redness of his cheeks. Lord Tully was fond of reminding him of his shame. “As I said my lord the message is most dire. I thought it best to keep it a secret.” He handed his lord the letter seal unbroken.
Lord Medger gave the letter a grave look. “The Blackfyre’s eh? Well one dragons made his plea to the realm why not a second?” He stalked back over to his chair facing the widow that over looked the Tumblestone. The Lord of Riverun broke the seal and read the contents. “The Red fork will be flooded by sunrise. The trident too.”
“They will be my lord.” Candry knew better then to interrupt Lord Medger when he was in a mood with the rain.
“So one dragon wishes to fight the other and the realms plunges into chaos. Seems we can’t even stay neutral. You were sent here to council the Lord of Riverun. So council him. Whom should I choose in this battle of dragons?”
Candry could feel the dryness of his throat. “My order is not here to govern the la-“
“Oh don’t give me that or I’ll throw you into the Tumblestone. The Targaryens marshal their strength at Kings Landing and the Blackfyres at Harrenhal. There will be blood. The Rose and the Falcon claims neutrality and the Lion declares for the late kings Bastard. Never thought I’d live to see the day when a bastard laid claim to the throne. Ha might as well call himself the Great Bastard! Don’t suppose they’d be content to just let the fish swim eh?”
“I fear not my lord,” Candry said cautiously, “I fear that the dragons demand blood. One way or another.”
“And when the battle of dragons commences where does the trout fall?”
“I don’t know my lord.”
“He chooses the side with the biggest fish. Send ravens, call the banners. Daemon Blackfyre gathers his banners at Harrenhal and I am of a mind to march with him.”
“But my lord, the oaths you have sworn to the crown! What about them?”
Lord Medger Tully turned to him and smiled. “Looks like I’ll be swearing some new ones.”
