[Request] Upgrade system change, keep low tier units available for training

Hey, one of the key things bugging me with the game at the moment is that when you research the upgrade for a unit then you can no longer train the lower tier unit that it replaces. This can lead to some really weird army compositions. I wish that I didn't lose access to a unit just because I've researched a new one, it feels like all my cheap and cheerful tools are taken away from me and that my resulting unit roster feels a lot smaller than it really is. Does anyone else feel the same way? Also do any of those people have modding skills?
