What is the best way to change the texture name assigned to a cas strat model ?

Does it work changing it with notepad by editing the cas file ?

Nope, has to be done via the model comments, eg with milkshape or a suitable 3D program. Why not change your texture file's name to the one the model is using? You will need to have that texture present anyhow.

A texture is names with non unicode characters so that does not work on some computers.

I downloaded the trial version of milkshape, but I cant find any cas convertor working...

Non unicode sucks - Chinese or Russian\Cyrilian?
Search for GOAT in the tutorial section of models, skin etc, it has the converter.
The trial version of Milkshape doesn't save your work I think.

It crashes, probably due to the fact that the texture name is in Chinese haha

I think you can get away with changing the texture name with a hex editor e.g. xv132

just be careful about not overwriting anything at the start/end

I would love a feedback on that one. Notepad obviously doesn't work, although it's helpful to see the actual name of the path\texture.

GG I confirm that I works. Thanks a lot !!!

Hum... I have a mistery to solve though.
Is it possible that a model strat has more than one texture assigned ?!

When I open the model with notepad the texture seems to be with latin characters, but... I suspect it beeing to another texture as well.

Building models can have several textures - unit strat models usually only have one.
