Is this possible, I slowly started converting the ERE towards paganism by building amphitheaters but I get the chartege council the gives huge bonuses to the chritians... will this fade away? I just need 5 more pagans to convert.

Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation
Pagan temples eat a vast pile of food, often 100 per temple. That's a real burden. Churches seem better barring some techs that disable legacy techs like concrete. Circuses and the great theatre aplenty should do it.
It's not too bad,
The Temple Precint costs you the same amount of food as the Circus, and the Basilica's cost 150 total. As long as you have a surplus of food, you're good. Unlike xianity, you need as much money as you can get. Where as food, you just have to avoid shortages, extra food has no effect. You could have 999999999999 food, and it wouldn't do anything for you. But if you had 99999999999 denarii, you could spend that on everything, building up provinces, making armies, et cedera.
Building theatre's in all your provinces and demolish churches.
The priest gets a reskin, and speaks different dialogue. Yes you can build temples and basilicas.
Yes, it's worth it.

thank you for the link, but it doesn't quite answer it, the council of chartage ruins any effort, not to mention that I have other expenditures to think about than auditoriums, , before the council I had 0,5% per turn and growing, now I am at -2%.
when do the effects disappear? is there any way to mod them out?

How realistic is actually such a scenario? (Romans give up Christianity and return to Paganism)
It took me about 30 years, but I've pretty effectively stamped out Christianity across both empires.
how did you do it? do the council of chartage effects disappear?
Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation
Yeah. I ripped down every church first, and then set up amphitheaters. It was pretty slow going, but it got there eventually.
What exactly is the benefit of doing this besides getting a reskinned priest?
