The city watch towers fire flaming arrows and set my own city on fire when im trying to defend, leaving repair bills.
Can one set towers not to fire flaming arrows?.

I believe it is possible to give all towers simple arrows/bolts/whatever non-flammable round type by modding.
This is remarkably funny since in MTW the original, when you had built proper cannon towers for your castle, the rear Towers would actually hit your castle walls when the enemy got anywhere near them, busting your walls for the AI to get in!
I remembered complaining about this on the CA forums, but no one else seemed to notice it. Funny and sad that it is in Atilla, like 10+ years later.
Shogun 2 had a real time toggle.

Proculus: Divine Caesar, PLEASE! What have I done? Why am I here?
Caligula: Treason!
Proculus: Treason? I have always been loyal to you!
Caligula: [laughs insanely] That IS your treason! You're an honest man, Proculus, which means a bad Roman! Therefore, you are a traitor! Logical, hmm? Ha, ha, ha!
I played the original MTW... and I NEVER had that issue. Sucks for you.
But yes, fire + cities = dangerous.
It doesn't bother me too much, because even successful city defenses have losses. Yet, an OPTION would probably be best.
Ahh, a toggle would be fantastic... I lose so many of my own troops to rogue bolts
I personally think this is coolyou play with fire, you get burns

Would definitely be cool to switch off useless flaming arrows that do more harm than good to your own camp. I'd also like to be able to somehow direct my tower's fire. It's such a pain to watch your towers focus shattered enemy formations, reduced to a bare five men, while it could fire on big stacks and actually be useful.
AI simple just shoot at enemy, too simplistic (AKA brainless)
Its easy to make war with others, its never been easy when we need a peace.
My holy damn simple tactic; Strike First, Strike HARD and SHOW NO MERCY.
I wonder why they didn't keep the old system, where the towers used regular arrows against units and flaming arrows against siege engines.

any fix on after you win a tower over. it collapses. instead of helping you firing on the enemy. any plans in the mix to fix this?
nobody seemed to mention that fire generated from buildings can kill your troops!. My general and a few of my elephants died to building fire.
Because towers are unmanned autofirers...ofc they can hit your own settlement/men.
For the love of God cant we build properly manned towers that involve some fighting between actual men...really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????
