Issues with Reforms
I posted this on the main download thread but I wanted to see if anyone was experiencing a similar issue.
My problem is that after I downloaded the latest version (1.04a) it seems to have messed up the reforms mechanic. I can recruit all of the units from the beginning of the campaigns without having to meet the reform conditions or research the reform tech. Also none of the units are grayed out on the barracks...like I said no need for the reforms :/
I am using the standalone version and I installed it directly into the data folder. I am not using any submods.
Any ideas as to why the latest patches messed up the reforms?

Re: Issues with Reforms
Hi!
First off I don't have the issue.
So are you really sure you don't have any conflicting mod or remnants of other mods in your data folder?
What faction/culture are you reffering to?

Re: Issues with Reforms
I don't think so. How would I check for any remnants of other mods?
And it seems to be an issue with any of the factions with reforms (Romans, Successors, Carthage are the ones I've tested with a new campaign)

Re: Issues with Reforms
I just thought maybe you had any mod, unsubscirbed but didn't delete the file.
If you are not sure you could check the modified.txt in your logs folder (something like this C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Rome2\logs)
EDIT: The files in your data folder which orginally don't belong there are listed in that txt.file. So it should only have the DeI pack in it

Re: Issues with Reforms
I tried looking to see if I had any competing mods but I don't see anything. I am also running it on a Mac if that changes anything. I haven't had any problems before 1.04. The 1.0 release ran perfectly.

Re: Issues with Reforms
Thanks for the help! It didn't seem to do anything...very strange. Everything worked on the mod before I upload the newest version
Let me know if you have any other ideas because I'm stumped haha

Re: Issues with Reforms
Np! I already feared that it wouldn't help cause it was, I think, integrated into the main mod anyway.
Now I am out of ideas too. Really don't know why this is. Also you seem to be the only one who has this issue cause otherwise I assume this forum would be crowded with people reporting the issue.
As a last resort you could try to re-download the whole mod. Maybe your file got corrupted in some way. But to be honest that seems to be very, very unlikely to me.
Sorry but I think I can't help you any further.
EDIT: Since you now got the file and it didn't help anyway I remove it now because my attachment folder here on TWC is such a mess already

Re: Issues with Reforms
No worries! Thanks for everything! I will keep tinkering with it but I think my best bet is to wait for the next update and hope that fixes the issue.

Since I can't edit messages: I'm also not running any other mods, just DeI.

Re: Issues with Reforms
I'm having the same thing, also running it on a mac. AI also gets access to reform units right off the bat.
Running perfectly otherwise.
Never had this problem with 0.96.

Re: Issues with Reforms
Yeah, good inktvis reported that too. Seems to be a MAC issue...
EDIT: you don't have steam support on MAC, right? Just out of curiosity...

Re: Issues with Reforms
Don't think the steam version of the mod works on the mac, but I never tried it.
Standalone version in data folder -> create a script file -> enable mod with script (no mod manager for mac either).
Tried the redownload advice a few times before, but that doesn't fix it so it's not a corrupted download. I was also kinda hoping that a new update would make it go away because it also appeared out of nowhere (wasn't a problem in previous versions, at least not in 0.96 and I also think it wasn't there in 1.0).
Even with all units always available, couldn't ever go back to vanilla so it's not really game breaking for me. Just odd.

Re: Issues with Reforms
Inktvis is right. I've done the same thing...redownload, clean R2 install...nothing seems to fix it. Not having the reforms really sucks but it is still better than vanilla.

Re: Issues with Reforms
It's not an Mac issue. I have the same problems, see my thread and I'm using Windows.

Re: Issues with Reforms
Djangoo I looked at your thread but my issue seems a bit different. For me its not so much that the reforms don't happen its that I can recruit all the units from the very first turn of the campaign...Camillan, Polybian, Marian and Imperial.

Re: Issues with Reforms
This sounds like the scripts aren't activating at all for you on Mac. You said 1.04 works but not 1.04a?
Here is a download to 1.04 if you want to try it https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx-...ew?usp=sharing

Re: Issues with Reforms
Unfortunately that didn't seem to fix it. Maybe I was thinking about an even earlier version of 1.0 release.

Re: Issues with Reforms
Ok, so I loaded an earlier version of the mod (1.03) and it works perfectly again. So I am pretty sure that it is something about the 1.04 update that is causing the issue.
