    Hi Guys !

    I created this mod for those who do not want to Roman clone rebels in the game .
    I did not like when my campaign (ERE) the African rebels use Roman units, appeared on the map.
    Therefore, I changed some fraction of culture and identity.
    So then African rebells dont use more roman units for example, but rather desert/arab armies .
    Save game compatible ! Radious mod compatible (yet..)

    What changed :

    Aegypt - African/desert units

    African Rebells - African/desert units

    Britain - Barbarian/Celtic units

    Dacia - Germanic-east units ( som gothic too )

    Iberian Rebells - barbarian/Vandal units

    Gaul Rebells - Frankish units

    Pontus - Eastern units

    I have more fun playing with these changes, I hope you guys will like it .
    Extract the attached files to game data folder, and activate this mod via Attila launcher

    ( sorry guys for my bad english, is not my mothr language )

    I think yes. modified only a few factions tables in db. As i see Radious dont touch these stuff ( yet... )

    Do they still use any roman units or does this get completely rid of their roman troops

    Is this region based or culture based?

    if the rebels are already present (before the mod), then the Romans units. but is only applied when I specify cultures units after the mod. (no need to launch a new campaign)
    example in my ERE campaign the egyptians coming with full roman units. after my mod, if they again rebelling they build only desert-african units. so simply.

    region and culture too.
    i added culture specific units to rebell/emergent. ( african rebells use african specific units)and changed the nations core also
    ( example Britain was as culture as roman_core, and i changed to barbaric_celtic_core)

    yes it is. rebells growing amount like before, only changed the more culture specific units, what they use .

    May I make some suggestions?

    Gaul and Illyria should have a rather wide selection of Celtic Units, as the people of those regions are basically Romanized Celts. Iberia should proabably also have some Celtic units.

    Pontus should have access to the Bosporan Warriors and Armenian Units, representing Armenia Minor. It is a shame that there are no untis that are uniquely Greek.

    no, bcs. i dont found better culture for this faction. I "think" they long enough romanized .
    there is only a small selection options :

    att_fact_group_eastern
    att_fact_group_barbarian
    att_fact_group_barbarian_m
    att_fact_group_nomadic
    att_fact_group_norse
    att_fact_group_roman


    IF i choosen "barbarian" faction group for Illyria, then they replace only german units...
    I think the Germanic culture does not fit them, but rather the Roman > romanized enuf.

    Its not so easy put units to rebel rosters.
    unfortunately not possible to take the units liking, because military_group tables limits the possibilities
    Pontus i think possible to add eastern units, lets see and i updated soon.

    "att_nom_bosphoran_warriors" is a military group : "att_nom_core"
    and rebells cant use similar core units, sa thats it.

    And it is not possible to simpely copy a unit so that "nom", which I assume stands for Nomadic, is replaced by whatever group Pontus is in?

    sad, but not. They is eastern military group core, if i add units from another group, that simply not appear in map . But i think this rebells only the side role in the campaign. no matter if they use som another unit or not .
    My mod add a little another feeling if rebells appear, and not fight with clone roman army. so simple.

    I started a new game and set my Tax to Max so that there would be a lot of rebels the Problem I have come across is the Desert Rebels are not building a army when they attack they are only attacking with the General this is down where Libya and Carthage use to be like in Rome 2
