What culture is Pontus?
I just started a Pontus campaign, and I thought that they were in the Eastern culture group (Persian), however all of their temples are Hellenic, and seem to spread Hellenic influence... Is Pontus' culture Hellenic or Eastern? I worry that I will make it impossible to recruit certain units if I build the wrong temples...
Apologies for duplicating a thread from the "strategy guides and gameplay discussions" forum, but the front page has higher traffic, and I am hoping for an answer!
Thanks...

Re: What culture is Pontus?
They are Hellenic in the Grand Campaign and Eastern in the Imperator Campaign.
It does say in your summary tab and in the Diplomacy Window btw

Re: What culture is Pontus?
Anyone know if there is a way to make Pontus garrison changed to greek culture instead of the eastern garrison? Kind of kills the immersion for me when i am a hellenic faction and when conquering factions that are not historically eastern to have eastern garrisons. For example, when conquering Tylis, they get an eastern garrison. While i understand that they were not Hellenic and a Hellenic garrison seems just as outlandish; you are converting the population to a hellenic culture, therefore the garrison makes sense. What doesn't make sense is when you convert a thracian faction to hellenic and they get an eastern garrison. Sorry for the rant, and if someone has a reason for this from the Dei Team that would be awesome too. Just wanna say from a long time lurker, this mod made Rome 2 playable for me, and I appreciate all the hard work everyone put into the mod.
