EDIT: Sorry the I have been meaning to ask is the Inca powerful? Regardless it seems the same problem exist with the Aztecs too
Hey folks, wow it's been 3 years since I last posted
Anyway on point, I am playing the Expanded Americas mod in my Irish campaign H/VH. I love the Irish gunpowder units and calivermen and mounted calivermen are deadly. However funny thing is why are more elite Inca units too hard to be decimated by guns? Is this natural or due to the tweaking by the mod? Sorry for asking this as I haven't played much of the expansions packs so I can't tell. I had 4 mounted calivermen and it took me 5 minutes or so to make a dent on the numbers of one unit of naked Temple Guards! Seriously they have no armor or at least just some padding that a bullet can still penetrate! I read on other threads that Inca/Aztecs are powerful indeed but I haven't seen a thread discussing their seemingly immunity to gunshots.
Their excellent morale makes it harder for them to rout which I don't complain about but rather why are the Temple Guards so hard to be killed by guns? The Priests are not so difficult to deal with though. I had trouble taking on the Incas in America due to this reason as my troops become too few at the end of the battle. I resorted to fomenting revolts in their cities with spies so I could take these cities after rebelling. But seriously are the Incas in the game made of rock???
