This is not a valid reason to hold a turn imo, play within the 24/hour limit unless there is something in RL to hold you.

Think of it as in reality, you cannot wait for replies most of the time when in the field, you act on what you know and adapt accordingly. Plan and plot in between turns or at least within your alloted time.

He didn't even ask for a cleared save until his 24 hours was come and passed.

Maybe fines can be given to the repeat offenders. Larger each time until one is removed from a hotseat. And when a new player takes over, the fines can be restored, as they are not to be blamed...


On the cleared save note, maybe the subber can create a password that can be given to the player, to avoid this.

Just a few suggestions. I don't want to offend some, but those whom are late consistently (with no excuse or reason given) keep a bunch of others waiting each time. And that is offensive in its own right. It is also breaking a rule, just as much as a one turn peace.

Mith, new players use time when you put 4 forts up against them.
You'd do the same, I think.
