The Death of the Stormlords

After hearing what had become of his lovely wife, Daenerys Targaryen, Khal Drogo lashed out against all those in sight who flew the banner of the black stag. The King himself sailed to the coast when he got word of his sister's fate, he landed outside Khal Drogo's besieged fortification and led the charge himself to free his brother in-law. Once free of the entrapment there were no words that could calm the beast that raged within the great Khal, with Jorah Mormont at his back he attacked the army that contained the son of the usurper. This was the final resting place of Edric Storm, bastard son of Robert Baratheon. But this did not sustain the Horse Lord's blood lust, Khal Drogo brought his force around to face the Lord of Storm's End himself, Renly Baratheon. Like the bastard boy there was no way Lord Renly would survive the encounter and so there fell the Lord of Storm's End and the last Baratheon of Storm's End, what is left of the Stormlord's forces are in disarray as without their Lord they have no direct tie to the usurper and so they abandon him. House of Renly has been eliminated. This is just the first part of the usurper's line that will fall to the dragon. Despite the pretender king taking King Visery's sister to King's Landing, preventing us from our own burial, King Viserys has shown honour as the bodies of Edric Storm and Renly Baratheon have been sent back to their kin.

. I knew that move would probably kill Renly but saw it as worth it. I should have remembered how vulnerable the Stormlands are with so few family members

but King Robert can finally feel some degree of pride when it comes to youngest brother. Lord Renly will be remembered as the man who sacrificed himself to prevent the Targaryens from reestablishing their tyranny over Westeros once more after his brothers drive them from these shores. I vote that hope that Lord Stannis kills Viserys that way all the Baratheon brothers would have slain one of that cursed Targaryen bloodline.

Anyway cheers to my allies, been a short but good game, killing Daenerys was worth the early loss. I leave it to you now....

He loved us, our brother. Me and Stannis, he always wanted to prove himself and he took the chance. Sadly, this has costed him his life. When your brothers win victories which will be remembered for a 1000 years, winning over the Dothraki hordes becomes something you do without considering the consequences.

May my brother Renly rest with the gods, wherever he may be now.
Renly the Warrior, killer of Dothrakies and Targaryens until his last breath.

The Realm must now gather itself before we all end up like a burnt down field in the Stormlands. The Dothraki have pillaged and raped even more now, when will these barbarians be brought to justice? The answer is soon.

I write to you in dark times for House Highgarden. At the Arbor rests a large army of Targaryen soldiers. The Dornish approach from the east, also with a large army. I had thought that at least my northern border would be safe, but now my liege lord is performing poorly in battle. At this rate, House Tyrell will be completely annihilated just as Renly Baratheon was, and I will be attacked from all sides. With Renly’s recent death, there is little to stop the Targaryens and their allies from conquering the entire Stormlands. In short, my small portion of the Realm will be surrounded and conquered unless drastic action is taken.

This is something I cannot allow. I will surely be branded a turn-cloak, an oath-breaker, and any number of other withering epithets. But I will endure this so that my sons may inherit that which I have ruled over these last decades. If I continue to fight for Robert Baratheon, I believe that my house will not live to see the end of this war.

Instead, I will rally to the cause of King returned, Viserys Targaryen. I have openly called King Viserys a monster, and insulted him in unforgivable ways with words and deeds. But the King has forgiven me, and welcomed me with open arms. He has shown me the error of my ways, and I am exceedingly grateful.

Now I urge the other great houses of Westeros to follow my example. Robert Baratheon is an old man. It is clear that he no longer possesses the youthful vigor which allowed him to take the Iron Throne. And he has grown lax in managing his house. If rumors are to be believed, Robert has no natural-born children. His own golden-haired brood may in fact be the spawn of incest between the Queen and her brother.

Lady Sansa of House Stark, who previously wed my son Baelor, will be treated with every courtesy. She is uncomfortable with my decision, but she understands my reasons. She still loves her husband and he loves her. I have promised to do whatever I can to spare her father and the rest of her family. It is my sincerest wish that House Stark can be persuaded to turn away from its doomed king before it is too late.

Times are dark, but the southern alliance forged by King Viserys will conquer Westeros, by force or otherwise. Will you embrace the approaching fire and enjoy its warmth, or will you be burned to ashes?

The fall of House Darry

The armies of the Vale were slowly gathering and patiently waiting on their opportunity. The main army led by Lord Corbray came down from the Bloody Gate and made a camp at the foot of the mountan road
while the other smaller army led by Lord Yohn Royce arrived from Runestone on ships. Lord Royce's army was outnumbered by Targaryen supporters in Darry's lands but
wars aren't always won with pure strenght of numbers but many times also with golden coins. This time it was so. There were many sworn swords and hedge knights wandering the lands around
the Saltpans and beyond and they gladly pledge their swords to Lord Royce service in exchange for a nice sum of golden dragons. In the middle of the night Arryn forces stroke from the south, surprised
sleepy enemies and managed to defeat them even before they called for reinforcements. Lord Darry's forces retreated back towards the Saltpans but they are broken and tired and realizing their end is near.
Using Darry's devastating defeat Lord Corbrays army began to march forth while the small garrison in Lord Harroway's town quickly switched sides and join House Arryn after hearing news of battles.

violating ZoC via the well known naval disembarkment bug.

I don't think towns should be bribable, especially if a large town can be bribed for 7600 gold. I've seen this rule in AoPK hotseats but IMO it makes sense here as well. I would ask that this be changed for next turn if others agree.

I prefer it being allowed, castles and towns. At least towns as it usually works whilst castles attempts are usually un-successful. Entirely a thing of preference
