i need help i am trying to download tatw but when i try to open the folder to install it it crashes windows explorer and i cant cant get it to work so i need help to get it to work????????

and then when my windows explorer comes back it asks me if i want to let third age total war 3.0 part 1of2 change my computer and i say yes then nothing hapens?????????????

and then a screen comes up that tells me that the file has invalid data.I am posting this as it hepens?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

i need help.

Redownload again, using another browser than Internet Explorer (use FireFox or Google Chrome or something). Also don't do anything while downloading the files but leave the computer alone during the procss, just to be safe.

cant edit -_- anyways then right after you do shift + PrtSc/SysRq, open microsoft paint and ctl + V to paste the picture

No need to make or post screenshots regarding this issue.

Your problem is you got a corrupted download, which means you were doing something on your PC while downloading files ( playing games, watching youtube or Taylor Swift, watching movies etc..).

Redownload the .exe file which gives you the error message.

Also, what Windows do you have, what are your PC system specifications, and is your M2TW a Steam or non Steam version?

my m2tw is steam and windows 7

Go here, it is a thread with pictures for the installation of TATW. These are the steps which you need to do:

1) Edit Security for your main Medieval II TW folder as shown in the pictures for Windows Vista, 7 and 8 Users.

2) To install TATW, use the steps shown in section called STEAM INSTALLATION OF THIRD AGE TOTAL WAR

This is one of my 1st posts - (and may be in the wrong place, if so please redirect me). Also: I have searched high and low for the fix, I cannot find one so perhaps the forum's collective wisdom can assist & beat the search-function.

TATW MOS 1.6.1 Spider Battle CTD -
Problem: When attacking spiders, (in campaign & custom) during deployment phase or shortly after (half a sec into battle) I have a standard CTD.

Attempted Solutions: -lowered all settings to lowest common denominator. -re-installed twice. -begged the spider gods to assist and sacrificed a ladybug in the web of the spider in my garage, his name is Fred.

One occasion it oddly worked: Played with only 1 unit of owned spiders as Mordor attacked & no CTD... only happened once, all other times (either attacking or defending, owning or facing spiders) all CTD in battle or deployment.

-Sidenote: considering installing MOS 1.6.2, holding back b/c (other than spider issue) my game works great "if its not baroque, then don't fix it" (pm any advice/thoughts please so not to clutter the thread with 1.6.2 advice)
