    Default Help with campaign movement

    Heya folks, I've been trying to change the campaign movement without editing units themselves. I thought i had it figured out through the 'movement_cost' column in 'campaign_ground_types' and 'campaign_map_roads' db, but my changes apparently aren't doing anything.

    Am I mistaken in thinking these values should affect the campaign movement range of armies? Should I be looking somewhere else to make these changes? Any insight at all is greatly appreciated.

    I have not, someone else took up the challenge and there is now a slower campaign movement mod buried somewhere in the mod threads section. I think they managed it by changing weather effects.

    Why are you trying to avoid editing the units themselves? Are you going for a global result, or do you want to only affect a certain group of units?

    I was attempting to get a global result with maximum compatibility. There is now a mod doing broadly what I was aiming for, but I'm still curious about why the values I found for campaign ground types didn't work.
