Help with patch

Hey I just recently installed medieval 2 and kingdoms from disc (non gold). Can anyone help me patch this to 1.5? I bought the game in the US and live in the US. I tried to dl it from gamershell but can't get it to work

Were you unable to download the patch, or did the patch not work?

I'm in the U.S. and just bought the gold disk version of Amazon. Couldn't get the U.S. patch to work. Then checked the box, and it turned out to be the U.K gold version. But that patch didn't work either.

Finally saw someone who claimed the Amazon digital download patch worked, even though he had the did version. So I tried it and...it worked.

That's "disk" version, not "did" version.
