Default Actual Banners and the Attila Engine

The engine of TW:A is kind of descended from that of ETW and NTW, right?
In these games you had actual animated flags on the battlefield carried by standard bearers as well as generals on the campaign map.
Would it be possible to replicate this in Attila, or is the coding/database system too different?

I guess the "pole" banners are historically accurate for this period but for mods set in different time-frames it would be interesting to bring this back. Or add animated vertically suspended banners like that held by the ERE faction leader on the campaign menu. Weren't those used in Barbarian Invasion by Roman units? The in-game voice-overs in Attila talk about banners often but I've yet to see one.

I guess there would be difficulties with the number of factions. But is it possible? Might it be possible with the mod tools?

Just to say, ATW engine came from RTW 2 which actually came from Shogun 2!

I am surprised that the WRE doesn't have any of those banners while the ERE do on some units!!

Lanciarii senaiores, Eastern Auxilia Palantia, Menaulatoi, Numeroi, Eastern Armoured Legio and Hetaireia Guards all have flag bearers similar to Vexilium of the ERE while the WRE has none of them for any of their units must be a bug?

Haven't looked at the files but they probably just forgot to add it to all Roman units or something. Would be cool if someone could set that to be the Roman standard (recolored red for WRE). Still, it's a static model and doesn't have animations.

Posted this in the bug section this is missing and I wouldn't mind these sort of banners having animations too.
