how to unlock all factions?

Can someone tell me what I need to do to unlock all the factions? I just defeated the Scots but it hasn't unlocked them =(

I don't have the game but I believe there is a line of text in the preferences.txt that says:

unlock_campaign: false (or something along the lines of that)

change false to true and save it.

If you can't open/save it right click on the preferences.txt>properties>uncheck read only

hey u ****er that file breaks the game. I cannot play on battlemap anymore. It CTD's when load has finished. And the absense of backup original file within the readme is suspicious.

on another note will someone plz copy and paste the contents of the original unedited descr_strat.txt here so I can create myself a new working one and actually get back to playing the game. Thanks.

Well, If someone doesn't like playing with one of starting factions, it is more fun than trying to rush faction you want to start with.
