    Default How do I remove mercenary onagers?

    I find that artillery is too numerous in the early game.
    I've managed to remove regular onagers via editing "units_to_groupings_military_permissions_tables"

    I've tried editing both "mercenary_unit_groups_tables" and "mercenary_pool_to_groups_junctions_tables"
    by setting all numbers related to onagers to zero. However it still shows up

    I think I've managed to make it impossible to get new mercenary onagers however.

    Would setting their campaign-cap to 0 work? Or does 0 nullify the entry and make it effectively infinite?

    I want to second this request: I just read into modding the Warscape engine just for this change, but I don't know which entries to change.

    Well, I found the solution in another subforum: Mercenary pools are changed in the startpos file, so this one or the save game has to be edited. It is pretty easy, the entries for mercenary onagers just have to be deleted from the province arrays.
