    Default Highest political rank ?

I tried searching on Google but it seems as if nobody really knows, thus I come here with my question which is; What is the highest political rank a general or statesman can reach?

    I currently got:

Which I believe is pretty good
    (governor is the rank)

    Hi!

The highest rank is always the one from which you can not promote any further

Now to be serious: one of the cool things about DeI is they overhauled this aspect of politics, meaning ranks and its boni differ from culture to culture! Since I mostly play Greeks I can say that Hetairos is the highest for them!
But other cultures have different ranks with different boni so there is no clear answer to your question.

On a sidenote: your Mr. Maximus seems to be a decent guy! Especially this vir triumphalis is a nice trait!

In my current campaign Hiero II enjoys the pleasures of life a little too much and bad traits come with it, resulting in this:

Really cool feature, as I always thought faction leader boni/mali only depend on ranks

It has always amused me in Rome 2 how kings can get promotions.

For Rome Governor is the highest "rank". It should be self evident seeing as it doesn't even give you the option to promote anymore after that point.

For non-roman countries, it's worded differently, but has practically the same stat bonuses. All of them use the same promotion chain, they're just given different names to suit each culture.

tl:dr Every country gets 10 or so promotions and the names are culture dependent.

well actually the option to secure promotion is still there but the list of "add ons" is so huge that I can't see the rank or price anymore lol. and I'm running it at 1920x1080 res. So I don't know whats up with that lol!
(with add ons I mean the +gravitas +tax income etc those things)

Odd, I'm only running 1920 x 1280 and the bonuses of the governor rank go off the top of the screen rather than the bottom.

But I suppose that would be a valid reason to ask then.

I don't know about you , but I always choose my generals from the youngest ones even though it costs too much .

Using 16 1nd 17 year old generals builds my empires and makes my campaigns more interesting as I'm connected to the generals . This helps e to have a couple of young , reliable and experienced generals after a few wars who will later ( in their 50s ) retire and give their place to new young generals .

And this cycle continues till the end of campaign as I don't want to have an empire ruled by some old generals .

I think the highest rank general in my campaigns was Maximus with rank 10 or 11 .

Might be a stupid question, but how do you know which of the ones you can recruit is the youngest?
Also, is there a way to see whether the specific general comes with starting traits?

You can't tell their age before they are recruited, but to know which traits they have, select the general, and then hover your cursor over one of the icons in the lower left under their picture.

It'll tell you what bonuses they give, which, if you are familiar enough with the traits, informs you which trait they have at the start. If not, it still lets you know what bonuses/malus they have, which is pretty much the same thing considering the traits are just the name of said bonus/malus.
