Default Congratulations CA, SEGA, Congratulations Modders!

Just yesterday I purchase the game (actually I was lucky because it was the last Collectors Edition). Must say, great price. Only 50 Euros, while others sell the standard edition for 50 euros.
Anyway, what I really have to say it is something which I believe derives from all of us, anonymous hardcore and loyal funs of TW games…
I read today the IGN’s review and seems to me that those guys the didn’t play the game!
Yes, truly this is not the perfect game build ever, but Total war games actually open a wide road to entertainment. I look back to 1987, when we first play a “strategy” game and we didn’t even dare to dream a game like this.
You cannot find similar games (Imperial Glory maybe?); all others have farmers, farming beside a battle of 100 men!

Congratulations CA and SEGA, for this wonderful entertainment you offer us,
Congratulations Modders, for keeping us all this years with the same joy!

    Farewell!

PS. Forgive me for my English…

I completely agree with you there. Im certain that IGN purposely chose an anti-strategy gamer as a reviewer this time round - just compare with RTW's review by IGN... almost certainly done by a fan.

While I'm not sure about the IGN UK reviewer, the guy who wrote the Medieval 2 review for IGN USA was the same guy who wrote the RTW review and gave it the highest score he'd ever given anything at the time. Everyone is too quick to call him a clueless jerk for saying anything bad about the game, but the review was critical in a brutally honest AND still admiring way. I actually thought it was a review worth reading for once and by the end I knew I would like the game. It's just a shame everyone else just repeats the marketing from their previews and then gives a game an 8.5 because it'll be the cool thing to do.

Which was presumably at sendit.com where you have to pay shipment, currency conversion and probably customs which rather makes it a bit more than 30 Euro.
I also saw a German seller (okaysoft.de) offer the German version for 45 Euro and the English one for 40 Euro (both standard)... Pretty interesting that.

Can you please refrain from telling everyone how much you paid for the game. TWC does not tolerate show offs and simply making this point in a thread which does not discuss price, is rather childish. I paid more for my copy than you did because I had overnight shipping because I want to play the game and I can AFFORD it. So do not make fun of me personally again.

Yeah? Well I $40AUD for my pre-order, the total is $100AUD. I'm paying triple digits because I want to play the game and I can AFFORD it too!

As the header of this tread indicates I am also very happy with what CA and Sega have brought to us. I am really happy that they have listened and tried to better things for the community.

    Thank you CA.

I have to agree, this is the best TW by far, the reviewer for IGN doesn't know what hes talking about.
