OK just was wondering why France was being over run so easy. Just so used to them both being equal in streagth with history of that war
Alright.... what i've done, i've done for the Central Powers..... you guys want me to play-test some other faction?
Actually, in my case, France was nothing, if not undefeatable. It took Germany around 60 turns to get rid of Belgium and they still struggle to push the French back. Which is highly irrelevant at the moment, since the Germans have decided that an alliance with the second European power (the power that humbled Italy and Russia, and set up Belarus and Ukraine as puppets) is not profitable, yet their alliance with their protectorate of Netherlands is.... so they decided to jump on the bandwagon and declare war to me, turn.... 90something, after the Netherlander government thought that their country of 2 ports, five cows and a dozen dams is capable of declaring war and defeating an Empire that stretched from Piedmont to Transylvania. Ok.... now everyone is against me, apparently.
Jawohl, Austria.
Now, which country you need me to play as?
Due to game mechanics Spain has indeed more of an importance than Switzerland. The later is just that region that Italy captures in early 1915.
Or someone could try to reproduce the historical reality where Switzerland's neutrality was enforced by it having one of the biggest army amongst minor nations in the current game. Stereotypes about banks, chocolate and all that might be the reason people have a hard time believing that the Swiss Army in 1914 was bigger than those of Spain, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden or Norway.
Well, game mechanics can be silly sometimes. It's funny to see Denmark with its tiny historical army size of 58'000 men (and that was the max it managed to mobilize during the war) become a powerhouse in the north thanks to Copenhagen's multiple building slots, while Serbia (420'500 men in 1914) and Switzerland (450'000 men in 1914) slowly spawn a militia every other month.

I forget, have you tried spain?
I have a question, will the minor nations become a bit faster with research? I love to play as sweden or rumania and turn the tides of history totaly around, but it always takes so long for them to research all the good stuff, also the unhappiness in teh cities, mainly caused by resistance against invadors takes pretty long to go back :o will that be fixed? OR is it intent to be like that?
No, actually i havent tried Spain. So, unless anyone else objects, i will do Spain. Same questions, same things to notice?
Is it normal that on hard difficulty Italy declares war on me ( with historical script enabled) no matter wich country I play as? It happened to me in 6 different games with Greece, Romania and Serbia.
Also for now no serious issues as Greece after 2 in game years, except italian doomstack near Athens with Italy in the Entente. Germany and Austria are passive.
I'm fond of Switzerland simply because of how unimportant they are despite always being on the sidelines. The most neutral nation is the best nation ever.
At least, the funnest.
Ignoring that, I tend to play as Spain and I was a bit disheartened when I discovered it was downgraded to a minor nation. :c
