Is it possible to remove the sound effects and voice acting that were in Rome 2 and now recycled in Attila? The voice acting in the diplomacy really irritates me. It breaks my Total War heart.

Specially the Barbarian!! I second this request.
A shameful display! (all the way to Shogun II). ;-) Yes, please.

oh god yes - the worst, and i can't believe he's made a return, is the poncy englishman who was the greeks in Rome2. His voice is so annoying!
It is a Shamefur Dispray that Advisor only says This is Shameful!
That silly Dutch accented English of the Barbarians made me boycott those factions in Rome II, and now they're back! I can't stand it, especially "For the tribe!". The female Champion was actually well done however, "I'm the one your mother warned you about!" Best voiced line ever in a Total War game.
"our horses love blood" "RRRRRAAAAAWWW" "ive seen graveyard whores......" There is so much bad voice acting in this game and Rome 2. Every barbarian sounds like they have a frog in their throat and theyre some kind of blood crazed vampire or something. I cant hardly play 2-4 turns as a barbarian faction without quiting because of this. Is there a way besides muting the sound to get rid of this? Will CA allow us to mod the sounds? Its seriously game ruining.
Well, CA uses their own employees and calls them voice actors. You can hear Will's voice on Romans and Hellenics. "Where is the one worthy to face me?" Shamefur dispray!
If Will was the pony tail guy
When R2tw came out I made an avatar for my steam account that just photoshop'd Kermit the Frog's face on an Iceni general's portrait.
Anyone else crack up whenever any barbarian unit with Noble in the name sounds off?
NO-BALL SWORDSMEN!![]()
Its supposed to be this end of the world terrifying game but everyone sounds like a frog or some goon. Really kills the mood and setting. It would be nice if the voices matched the theme and people actually sounded afraid or heroic.
My favorite one:
"Their fighting back"
Really? Are they fighting back, OMG..... it's a battle.... WTH![]()
Shogun 2, no thanks I will stick with Kingdoms SS.
I definitely support that, never liked VO in Rome II, only Romans were actually okay, and Eastern Culture. They could do better job with this... they could hire some known actors, even from Game of Thrones, back in Medieval II there was VO actor for Scottish Generals Graham McTavish known as Dwalin in The Hobbit.
Also another question, isn't the guy that says "Our men are running! This is shameful!" from Medieval II as well?

There any news on this? Will we be able to, or can we edit the sound in this game? Or can ca just give us a toggle option to not have some rediculous saying everytime we click on a character or unit?
THIS.
I cannot cope with the horrific barbarian voice acting in this game. How anyone thought this was acceptable is beyond me; it completely destroys the immersion and mood of the game. I really cannot overstate this enough, please can someone save me from it while I play.
Until CA wi relaunch music modding tools like the did for Rome 2 it won't be possible.

I hated those hysterical voices in Rome II and I still hate them now. It's, naturally, poor acting on the part of employees of CA. They needed proper actors to make the right noises. Not only that, but they needed to research what centurions and other leaders of the ancient world did say in battle situations. For example, 'Kill, kill, kill!' might be okay for a 10 year old playing an arcade game, but is totally ridiculous for a tribune or a centurion. And what about: 'Heaven can wait!' What theis that? What does that mean in a wargame context? Many of the utterances sound like football hooligans after the game. We need and want something PROFESSIONAL!
PS. CA have opted for Latin names for Roman units. But they cannot pronounce them! Nor are they consistent with their pronunciations!
For example: sagitarii is pronounced sah-ji-ta-ree. The CA employee given the job says: sajitareeay.
Protectores Domestici is pronounced Proh-teck-toh-res Doh-mess-tee-chee. CA's version pronounces the last syllable as 'see'.
These two really crack me up: Contarii pronounced Kon-tah-ree. CA : Kontooreeay.
Catafractarii pronounced Kah-tah-fruk-tah-ree. CA : Katafracktoreeay.
