Do you have blur turned up here or are these default settings? Mine never looks quite so hazy... this looks great.
I am experiencing quite a big drop in fps with 1.0.8. I was using 1.0.7 with Attila yesterday and had much better frame rate. Perhaps UI-bypass... I'll test without!
Does UI-bypass means that it wont blur out the UI though? And if so, is there an estimate on when it will be fixed?![]()
Interested in how Attila and the new LONGBEARDS DLC plays?

Do I just install it as if it's for Rome 2 but in the Attila folder?
Is there anything special I need to do to get it to work?
You have to install the stand alone version into your Attila main folder, yes.
--------------------
If you have problems with the UI-By-Pass though MLAA activated in-game, please try to reload the shader in a battle first. This might trigger the By-Pass correctly for now and will consequently stay activated until you quit Attila again.
For reference, you can find my in-game settings here.
ui by pass?
can you translate :o?
utility? what is it?
i understand blur, bloom, HDR, gaussian etc, but, UI BY pass?
with by pass ui activate in attila, fps lock in 40 in menu and lock in 20 in battle?
wtf?
in rome 2 no problem, your 1.08 its buged, can you give 1.07?
UI pass breaks the fps. I have 60 fps without it and with it 20. I am not using any AA
Also GEM does not work if you use UI pass.
@railgar
UI BY pass, so it does not make UI look like enchanted which keeps it clear looking
You can download regular GEM 1.08 which works fine, but does not have these extra features like AA by pass (still not working)

Offline preview also crashes on me. I use the tool for .net 4.0
I can't even get that far @Remo, when i press start preview i get instant GEM crash
it crashed to me too, this one bug to report. Gem works perfectly in game
The offline preview causes a crash for me. I get very low FPS while using GEM, I think it's the By-pass UI feature.
CPU: Intel i7-8700. GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Armor 8G. RAM: Corsair Vengance, 16Gb HD: Kingston SSD 240Gb (System), Samsung 850 Evo SSD 500Gb (Steam), Western Digital 500Gb. PSU: Corsair CX600W
Regarding the UI-By-Pass, did anyone try yet to reload GEMFX in a battle and see if it solves the problem?
Regarding the preview, (as described) it does not work for Windows 8.1 and before switching it on you should disable the UI-By-Pass too. GEMFX is basically hooking onto the picture renderer.
When UI bypass is enabled GEM works in launch loading screen. After that it effects "disappears" from "use", but the UI bypass fps drop remains.
When i press f9 or reload it creates micro stutter so i know its there on background enabled, but effects are not there.
Windows 7, so preview crash can't be that Windows version problem
Please refer to the technical support thread of GEMFX.
Yes, it probably cannot in all cases identify the entry to place the UI-By-Pass and keeps searching, which causes stuttering. I will have to find another way to fix it.
Regarding the preview, did you disable UI-By-Pass for the preview and made sure everything is set up correctly? You also need the GEMFX_Preview.jpg in your folder next to the configurator and probably SlimDX installed as described in the update.
Yes, I tried reloading yesterday - no improvement for me.
Anyone have any tips to get it working?
Everything is installed and in order but I get no effect. Im on Win 8.1 and i run the configurer as admin. I've checked the compability box and 64bit box and the file saves just fine from what I can gather.
It was the same in Rome 2, it just doesnt work, no ingame effect
