Is anyone being chased across the map when they are in migration mode?
Right now I'm playing as Vandals and making my way to Spain region, and I have armies chasing me all the way across the map. I think this needs to be fixed.

Isn't that kind of the point
lol Ok... that is somewhat odd. Danes in North Africa? rofl...
Sounds pretty typical of the AI if you ask me.
I have been chased by the Alamans all the way to the Ireland and fought them there so this really needs to be fixed.
Yeah, the IA expands pretty much anywhere, and it seems, randomly. Even though it still owns it's original settlement. In found myself owned my some Picts in Gaul in my frankish campaign.
Can't blame them for wanting a nice little place for their summer vacations, eh ? Scotland's pretty rainy.
the ai got it in for you. you must has done something before this happened? to be honest, I like this super aggressive ai bring it!

Can't you just hide in the forest?

Yeah like with the guy who got chased by the Alamans in Ireland stated in a previous thread and myself I got chased by 2 Hun Hordes deep into Frankish territory. There's no real way to beat 2 Hunnic hordes with 1 full stack of Ostrogoths as you have no real spear infantry to begin with.

The Saga of Grettir the Strong, chapter 82
There is such a thing as stupid AI that is superior in circumstances and this is one of them. You have no spearmen and you're fighting a cavalry based army, the right move is to run and get the hell out of their way. In this scenario it's poor AI in a game with generally decent AI overall. A 'real' horde wouldn't stray too far from each other just as the player wouldn't split their hordes on two sides of the campaign map.

I tried to avoid slaughtering the full Nobatian stack that I noticed chasing my Vandals since Argentoratum, I really did. But after they they chased me all the way down through Spain and into North Africa I ended up giving them unmarked graves somewhere in Baetica.
Then once I started settling all of a sudden a Lazican stack turned up. Poor sods. This is Vandal land now.
Funny, but stupid.
Go into ambush mode and they won't know were you are for a few turns
A bit hard when they're chasing you the same turn and are only a few steps behind you

I have almost got wiped by the Roman armies plenty of times and my MPC opponent always dies to the Romans who surround their horde if they ever break formation for a second. Gj CA on the AI loving it.
Yeah, the Picts razed a city in North Africa then took land in Spain. The Irish faction captured Narbo as well.
Playing as the Eastern Roman Empire I was dragged into various wars via the West, one such was against Britain. I got into a war with them in turn 20. THey must have set out on a vendetta because 40 turns later two stacks of theirs show up next to Alexandria. I found it very odd to begin with, but I like this. Now as I play I simply try my best not to get dragged into unneeded wars and I try and lay low in everything I do, always thinking to myself "Maybe if I just let that horde pass by they won't notice me." Usually works till they set their eye on you.
