When defending a settlement I prefer to go arrow heavy, but as far as I can tell Attila won't let me do this even with a governor. Any ideas?

I want to know this also is it possible to customize the garrison force ?
I also agree. For Rome 2 there was a mod on the Steam Workshop made by Maffers, and he made a mod that was like 'maf's garrison' something. Basically it increased more soldiers to garrisons and one variant of the mod removed lower level 'pebs'.
I want a mod that just adds more medium level soldiers to garrisons. Right now a City only has 7 stacks, which is absolutely freaking pathetic. Any army literally can take any city whenever they want because the default garrisons do absolutely nothing. I would be happy if a mod added 1 or 2 more units of each stack for every settlement.
Are guarissons still mob based and only 6 units per settelemnt like last 2 patches in Rome II?
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
read this to avoid misunderstandings.
IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.
Nope, you got your governor as general, which unit seems generic, at least for me since i've been playing several Frankish campaigns. Meaning they're all noble germanic swordmen. Otherwise, pretty much every building for germanic people seems to give you one or several garrison units, which are regular and in the end pretty good units. Same goes for the city building.
Plus, the way " small " settlements / towns are handled now makes your defense much more easy. Turrets, barricades and fortifications allows you either to give ground strategically, or try to defend every access with a few units and some reserve.
Still waiting for a mod that adds more numbers to garrisons to make them more substantial...
