If possible, I'd like to see a mod similar to the Rome II one where the AI spending on agents were essentially reduced to zero, and thus the AI hardly spawned agents at all. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: made it myself. Should be working.

August Strindberg: "There's a view, current at the moment even among quite sensible people, that women, that secondary form of humanity (second to men, the lords and shapers of human civilisation) should in some way become equal with men, or could so be; this is leading to a struggle which is both bizarre and doomed. It's bizarre because a secondary form, by the laws of science, is always going to be a secondary form. Imagine two people, A (a man) and B (a woman). They start to run a race from the same point, C. A (the man) has a speed of, let's say, 100; B (the woman) has a speed of 60. Now, the question is 'Can B ever overtake A?" and the answer is 'Never!'. Whatever training, encouragement or self-denial is applied, the proposition is as impossible as that two parallel lines should ever meet."
NVM, figured it out

Please share if you made for personal use? I would like to get rid AI agents also.

This should be working. What I did was that I basically set the global agent cap to 0, so starting agents for the AI should still be there but they wont be able to spawn any other. I don't know if it works because I haven't started a new campaign and in my current one I havent gotten very far.

Doesnt work dude, I tried to do the same thing but no joy. Anyone any ideas?

hmm curious, but great news. I have a few custom mods running so i shall revisit. Congrats then and thanks.

yeah cheers, i got it working but it seems i'm unable to change the amount. Works fine on 0, but ctd upon initial start up if i try 1 or 2 agents. Does the same thing happen to you?
I have only tried setting it at 0. Maybe it's tied to Imperium somehow?
One thing I noticed is the 'general' line. Is that the real generals that are able to command troops they refer to? Or is it just some weird thing that CA cooked up. Because if it is real generals, that means that the AI can't recruit generals when having setting the recruitment cap to 0.. hmm.

I'm not sure, it was set to 10 by default in Rome 2, but even set at 0 in Atilla, the player can still recruit generals, so because of the family tree, im presuming thats something that's different this time around?
Makes sense I suppose. I'll have to wait and play a multitude of turns to see if the AI will spawn new generals or not, haha.
Let me know if you manage to cap the agents at 1 or 2, because I'm interested in that. I mean, agents should be part of the game - just not a spam of overpowered agents you know.

Well the AI seems adept at spawning armies so i think its fine ha! And yeah i will, its the turn times that's as much a part of trying to get this working as the constant agent spam.
I got it working great under Rome2, the trick is to let everyone have at least one of each agent, then you turn on noagents, and as its save compatible, it adds another stragetic level to the game as the agents, be it spy, champ or priest become finite and are so much more valuable. Granted i usually bribe most of them but it can be scary when the AI suddenly surrounds your champ and gets him to defect, or surrounds your army unable to move and depleting men fast.
Still, got that kind of running right now in Atilla, started without the no agents mod, have let it run to 400AD and thus everone should have built 3 of each if they started from scratch as my hording Vandels did. Then have just turned noagents on and am about to continue! Bon Voyage and thanks again.
