There is a story;

In England , in a harbour there was a group wich were waiting a ship would come from Australia whit a new and unknown animal.At that while a Turkish student group were waiting a ship from Turkiye with their familars.Suddenly all of them saw a ship was coming towards them , and Turkish group cried altogether ``Turkiye Turkiye `` the ship was with Turkish flag.That means the ship was coming from Turkiye.The other group(English) thought the ship was from Australia and the name of animal was Turkey `` they named how they heard from Turkish group``

Because of that The Turkish Goverment decided `` after that the name of Turkey will change into Turkiye`` in the international area . . .

There is a nation and some animals , we must separate them. . .

I understand your annoyance over this but unfortunately Turkey is the name of the country in the English speaking world. The little joke of totalwar.com may be of poor aesthetics but I doubt it meant to insult your country.
