I know that you just can't do that like in the first Rome game, but are there any submods where you can change your faction heir? Also, how about the console commands regarding changing heirs, would that work too?

Someone made a submod that enables you to pick your next heir, but I guess it's for SS (it's a mod if you haven't heard about it) only: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-%28Updated%29.
Never thought about the console, that actually might be a great idea. I know that the heir is chosen based on how much authority he has. Give the family member you want to become heir tons of authority traits via de console (give_trait cheat), kill the current heir (that I guess you don't want as heir) and see if your guy becomes heir. I never tried this, so I'm also interested in what will happen.
Īnfrānt nu eşti atunci cānd sāngeri,
nici ochii cānd īn lacrimi ţi-s.
Adevăratele īnfrāngeri,
sunt renunţările la vis.
Pity that submod isn't save-compatible :/ I thought it would be a good addition to my current campaign. Oh, nevermind.
All
Also, to help with the console idea, I think traits such as those of the "scarred" line add authority. Here is the Vanilla Medieval II traits list http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ete-Trait-List
Hope it helps![]()
