Default Preload via Steam? (North & South America Only)

    http://www.steampowered.com/v/index....me&AppId=4700&

Is anyone considering doing this? I plan on getting a hard copy but... playing at midnight, the 15th, would rock for us in the states.

what are yalls thoughts on this option? Is it any better than pre-ordering and having it shipped here on the 15th?

I'd rather get the game on the 13th from EB Games:

if it was coming out the 15th here in the usa, i would do it, ive ordered games before from steam-very fast/nice, but since eb told me i can pick up my copy tuesday and i get out of school early that day than definantly not preloading. why preload and end your social life as you know it when you can do all that but a day earlier?!?!?!?!?

Holy crap! MTW2 on Steam? Damn fine idea. It shows quite nicely that CA are willing to work with one of the other most important developers around these days. I have to say this is another in a long line of very smart business decisions by CA. First they switch to Sega. They release a cheap, fun, mini-addon. They then firstly increase the emphasis on mod support while getting a respected community mod developer to inspect it. Over all its great to see CA change with the times, which was what I feared was going to begin to happen to them back when BI was released.

Well the game might be in on the 17th, Wal-Mart has a sign in the electronics department. anyways, always get a hard copy. Steam, always had to update that, to me worthless, but I might give it a try.

Well... at least I can pass the time reading through the MTW2 manual from the Steam site until I'm actually able to get the game here in the states.

Wow, I didn't expect that to happen. CA is indeed working with other big companies.

    11gb worth of downloading people...

and thats gonna happen every time you need to reinstall the game unless you want to keep the 11gb installer on your computer as well as the game.

Plus theres the whole... Valve are morons and dont deserve one penny of CA/Sega's money.

11GB, wow that's gonna take awhile on 180KBs

I prefer buying it from a retail store.

    a) Steam is way too expensive for my taste
    b) The game is about 8 GB in size so it'll take a few hours even with a fast connection
