Default Hyrule Warriors - SirMark9's Hypothetical Story Mode

... Remember what I said about working in bursts? For some reason I cranked out this amount of nonsense when I should be working on other projects.

Anyways, I gotten back to messing around with Hyrule Warriors and got to thinking, "What if Hyrule Warriors had a battle editor where I could weave my own story?" Of course, that probably won't happen, and the battle editor that came with Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper was rather limited. Even though my hopes are low, I still ended up mapping out a basic concept and may continue fleshing out the idea further for some indescribable reason...

There are roughly three separate arcs with a couple of bonus chapters added in for kicks. The three arcs are Ganondorf's Arc, the Hero's Arc, and the Sorceress' Arc. For the most part, the story is linear but almost every chapter allows to the opportunity to play as the other faction. During some chapters, playing another side can unlock new story arcs to play as. The whole "time travel & multiple dimensions" was mainly confined to the Sorceress' Arc, so there was a limit on characters and levels I could use.

At any rate, I hope you enjoy these random musings.

    Basic Plots
    Spoiler for Click Me!
    Ganondorf Arc

The Ganondorf Arc focuses on the rise of Ganondorf as the takes vengeance on Hyrule due to their treatment of the Gerudo people. Ganondorf starts his rebellion, gains Volgo and Wizzro as allies, obtains resources from the Faron Woods, witnesses the jealousy of two sorceresses, and finally gives Hyrule its final peace. The master plan has been set in motion, and nothing is left to stop it.

    Or is there?...

    Hero Arc

The Hero Arc can be considered more or less a retelling of Hyrule Warrior’s base story with Cia and Lana. Ganondorf is sorted out early in the storyline, and the time travel / separate dimensions has mostly been removed.

Link must defeat Ganondorf, the Gerudo Warrior, before he becomes feared and leaves behind is legacy. After that, Link gets caught up as the target of love between two sorceresses and ends up helping Lana, unintentionally putting forth in motion a series of events that puts Hyrule at danger and requiring the use of the Master Sword to pull through. At the end of the road, Link must face his worst nightmares before finally putting Cia to rest.

    Seer Arc

The Seer Arc is shoehorned in, basically offering an excuse between the pointless conflict between Lana and Cia over Link and pulling in the other three “timelines” (Time, Twilight, and Sky).

In the end, Lana and Cia must pay the price for their jealousy and face off in one final battle…
    Chapter Notes
    Spoiler for Click Me!
Chapter 1 – Desert Uprising (Storyline Branch) // Gerudo Desert

The Gerudo has been subjugated by the people of Hyrule. Ganondorf, a proud Gerudo warrior, fights in the arena biding his time for rebellion. Today is that day.

Play as Ganondorf as he rebels against Hyrule or play as Link who happens to be present to check in on the people of Gerudo. Will Ganondorf rise and become feared throughout Hyrule, or will Link be able to subdue the proud warrior before his legacy can even begin?

    Ganondorf Wins -> Chapter 2 G – Rebirth
Link Wins -> Chapter 2 H – The Blue Sorceress

    Chapter 2 G – Rebirth // Eldin Caves

Ganondorf has freed the Gerudo Desert of Hylian control. However, he lacks the resources and allies to properly take on Hyrule, so he follows an old myth of an ancient dragon warrior within the Eldin Caves. He finds more than what he bargained for, also uncovering an ancient ring that was meant to be buried deep within the earth…

Play as Ganondorf as he tries to recruit Volga to his cause, fighting against the Lizalfos and the Gorons while doing so. Alternatively, play as Volga to lay waste to your enemies and prove your superiority after your rebirth.

Or perhaps you wish to play the good guys and be Sheik, sent alongside the Gorons to bury the evil ring. Put a stop to Ganondorf’s ambitions and humble the dragon warrior.

    Chapter 3 G – Deforestation // Faron Woods

Ganondorf gains two allies, the mighty warrior Volga and the ever cunning Wizzro. Ganondorf still requires natural resources before he could begin to siege Hyrule Castle, so he sets off to the Faron Woods. He meets the hero Link once again, alongside Impa, and fight against them for control of the woods.

Play as Ganondorf on his quest for conquest or play as his allies Volga or Wizzro to take over the Faron Woods to utilize its natural resources. Otherwise, side up with Link and Impa to protect the Great Deku Tree and halt Ganondorf’s progress.

Chapter 4 G – The Twin Sorceresses (Storyline Branch) // Temple of Souls

With powerful allies and natural resources at his disposal, Ganondorf believes it is time to lay siege to Hyrule. However, Wizzro advises the great warrior to seek the consul of the Great Seer, who can peer into fate itself.

Reluctantly, Ganondorf agrees and sets off to the Temple of Souls. What he finds are two sorceresses fighting each over for the love of one man they have not even met…

Join Ganondorf, Volga, and Wizzro in quelling their pointless dispute, or become Cia or Lana as they attempt to overpower one another as well as the uninvited guests.

    Ganondorf Wins -> Chapter 5 G – Darkness Falls
Cia or Lana Wins -> Chapter 5 S – Moving Mountains

    Chapter 5 G – Darkness Falls // Hyrule Field

At last, Ganondorf stands before Hyrule Castle. Vengeance shall be his as he lays waste to the capital.

Play as Ganondorf, Wizzro, Volga, or the two sorceresses Lana or Cia as they lay siege to Hyrule Prime. Ganondorf storm the castle only to find that the princess is in another, instead finding Sheik present. After defeating Sheik, Impa reveals the plan and summons the Great Fairy to annihilate Ganondorf’s forces. Ganondorf, alongside his few surviving officers, must put an end to the Hylian resistance at the Great Fairy Fountain and defeat Princess Zelda.

Or perhaps you wish to help the heroes in the midst of their darkest hours? Play as Link, Zelda, Sheik, or Impa and defend Hyrule from Ganondorf and his minions.

Chapter 6 G – A Light In The Darkness // Temple of the Sacred Sword

The Princess and her loyal guards has escaped the grasp of Ganondorf. While his vengeance is seemingly stated, Wizzro and another small voice egg Ganondorf on to finish off Princess Zelda and Link to fully complete the Triforce.

In the true finale of Gerudo versus Hylian, join Ganondorf and his allies as he puts an end to the forces of Hyrule. Even with Link wielding the power of the Master Sword, it is not enough to stop the dark warrior. Ganondorf defeats Link and Impa and enters the sacred chamber, only to realize it is yet another trap. Princess Zelda attempts to flee for the exit while Impa defends the sacred chamber with her life. Link escorts the Princess to the midpoint before telling her to move on and that he will hold back Ganondorf.

Depending on the outcome, Ganondorf will be able to finish off Princess Zelda here at the Temple of the Sacred Sword, or Princess Zelda will be able to escape. Both options lead to a different level.

Now for the “choose the other side” gimmick! If you like last stands, you may want to help out the heroes! Play as Link, Zelda, Sheik, or Impa as you defend the temple to the last man. Even when all your allies are slain and all hope seems lost, you keep on fighting. Only a miracle can save you now…

Chapter 6a G – Lost In Time // Valley of Seers

An optional scenario that becomes playable if Princess Zelda manages to escape in Chapter 6 G, A Light in the Darkness.

Princess Zelda flees to the Valley of Seers, seeking to open a Time Rift that will allow her to go back in time and prevent Ganondorf’s rise to power. The Princess is aided by her loyal Hylian soldiers and captains, but he unexpectedly gains help from other heroes across space and time.

Extinguish the glimmer of hope for the forces of light and finish off Princess Zelda, as she has no more places to run to. Play as Ganondorf, Wizzro, or Volga while they carry out their final task.

Unless you want to turn the tide in the light’s favor and join Zelda alongside various heroes such as Minda, Fi, Darunia, and Ruto as they arrive to fight back Ganondorf. Put a halt to his conquest and let Hyrule live to see a new dawn.

    Chapter 7 G – Prophecy // Ganon’s Tower

Hyrule has been all but completely annihilated, Ganondorf watches from the twisted landscape that was once Hyrule Castle at all the devastation around him. Wizzro beams with excitement, repeatedly saying “soon, soon…”, and Volga is bored out of his mind.

However, the peace is disrupted by Lana and Cia rising up against Ganondorf. Lana, equipped with a Summoning Gate, and Cia, taking up Princess Zelda’s rapier, rebel against Ganondorf.

As the countdown reaches to a close, join Ganondorf, Volga, and Wizzro as they take on the two misguided seers. Even with all the Dark Links and Boss Monsters in the world, nothing will stop the might of Ganon returning.

Of course, there’s always the option to play as the other side! Team up with Cia and Lana as they make one final attempt at thwarting Ganon’s grand plans.

Chapter 8 G (Finale) – Ascension // Valley of Seers

Nothing remains to oppose the will of Ganon. The plan will be executed flawlessly, and the world will be plunged into a world of eternal darkness.

However, is that the only choice we have?

Ganondorf reflects on everything he has committed thus far. In the wake of getting vengeance against the Hylians, he realized he was no better than they were when they controlled the Gerudo. At this point, so close to the grand ascension, does he decline the ultimate power.

Ganon, furious at his pawn’s decision, rips apart Ganondorf’s essence and creates a shadow clone to reside in. Ganon commands an army of Moblins and Bokoblins and sends them against Ganondorf, alongside his disciple Wizzro.

Play as Ganondorf (or Volga) for the ultimate finale against Ganon. Ganondorf uses the last of his power to bring back his fallen brethren, the Stalchildren and Stalmasters, the fallen Gerudo of old, in this final battle for redemption.

But, the ultimate power is tempting. Withdraw from Ganondorf’s foolish motivations and join alongside Ganon as Wizzro as they put into motion the finale of the world…

After Ganondorf defeats Ganon, he willingly absorbs Ganon’s essence to serve as its warden for all eternity. He cannot go back to his people, so he sits on a throne at the summit of the Valley of Seers, serving as a guardian to Ganon’s destructive tendencies. Wizzro fades away into the ring, thinking that it is safe, but the ring is destroyed with the evil spirit along with it.

Or, Ganondorf lies broken on the battlefield with Ganon triumphant (and Wizzro in the background). The world will be ushered into an eternal age of chaos…

Chapter 2 H – The Blue Sorceress // Faron Woods

Ganondorf has been arrested and sent to prison, his uprising quelled. Princess Zelda has taken note of Link’s actions and grants him the Hero’s Tunic as a reward for putting down the rebellion.

Princess Zelda tells Link and Impa to investigate the Faron Woods where they find a particular blue haired girl fighting off hordes of monsters. Link and Impa intervene.

As always, you can choose to play the other side. Join Volga and Wizzro attempt to take on Faron Woods on behalf of another…

Chapter 3 H – The Defense of Hyrule // Hyrule Field

Suddenly, Link and Impa hear word that Hyrule is under siege. They rush back to find Hyrule Castle taken, but discover a mysterious warrior named “Sheik”. This warrior assures that Princess Zelda is fine, but they must take back Hyrule Castle.

Play as Link, Impa, or Sheik as they reclaim Hyrule from their oppressors.

Alternatively, play as Ganondorf, freed by an unknown benefactor, or Volga or Wizzro as they destroy Hyrule from within.

Chapter 4 H – The Silver Sorceress // Temple of Souls

It is learned that Ganondorf has been freed by the sorceress Cia, who wanted to use the opportunity to “recapture him” to show off her skills to Link.

Before Cia could accomplish her plan, Link arrived at Hyrule Castle alongside Lana. Cia, furious that Lana managed to get close to Link, locks herself up within the Temple of Souls with her shrines to the one she (and Lana) obsesses over.

Play as Link, Impa, Sheik, or Lana as they attempt to reason with the silver sorceress. Alternatively, live a life of denial and join Cia and her Dark Links in repelling the uninvited guests.

Chapter 5 H – Caves of Judgement // Eldin Caves

Even with Cia seemingly defeated, at the last moment she unleashes a burst of energy that incapacitates Link and his companions.

Sheik advises Link to undergo the trials to claim the Master Sword so that he can lay Cia to rest. Lana is initially opposed to the idea, but slowly accepts it as her fate…

Join Link and company on their adventure to the Eldin Caves to claim the keystone for entering the Temple of the Sacred Sword.

Alternatively, play as the ticked off Volga or weary Wizzro as they take up arms when the caves are filled with the sounds of battle.

Chapter 6 H – The Master Sword // Temple of the Sacred Sword

At the temple proper, the party realizes they require someone of noble blood in order to enter the Temple of the Sacred Sword. It is here where Sheik reveals her true identity (Princess Zelda, who else!) and undergo the trials necessary for Link to obtain the Master Sword.

There is no other faction to play as during this chapter. Sorry!

    Chapter 7 H – A Place of Nightmare // Ganon’s Tower

Link, now having obtained the Master Sword, seeks to confront Cia. The party learns of her new location at the Valley of Seers and confronts her.

However, before battle could be joined, Cia, in her jealousy, banishes Link to some forgotten realm. This realm shows Hyrule Field in chaos and ruin with Ganondorf presiding.

Play as Link, alone, as he faces off against Ganondorf and seeks an escape from the madness.

Alternatively, play as Ganondorf as he slowly whittles away at Link’s sanity. No matter what weapon or support Link decides to use, he just can’t win…

    Chapter 8 H (Finale) – A Hero’s Revival // Valley of Seers

Link breaks the seal of banishment and returns to the Valley of Seers to see that combat has already been joined. Cia and her army of Dark Links take on Princess Zelda’s forces in this final battle.

Join Link, Zelda (or Sheik), Lana, and Impa as they attempt to lay Cia to rest, or let the rage consume you and play as Cia and crush her adversaries.

As Link and Zelda happily reunite as Impa watches on, Cia slowly dies and fades away. Lana too slowly fades. As she watches the happy reunion, she wishes Link and Zelda to be well, but also wished she met Link under different circumstances…

Or, watch as Link’s companions fall one by one to Cia’s power. As she approaches the hero to claim her prize, Link decides to make a fatal leap, leaving Cia all alone in the world…

    Chapter 5 S – Moving Mountains // Death Mountain

A note before starting on the Sorceresses’ Arc. Both Lana and Cia share the same chapter titles, levels, and general gameplay, but the story is slightly different depending on who the player chooses. For the sake of the story, as each chapter progresses, the story assumes that the player Sorceress is the one that won the previous battles.

After dealing with Ganondorf at the Temple of Souls, Cia and Lana continue their conflicts in separate worlds than “Hyrule Proper”.

Cia manages to lure Darunia and his Gorons to her side while Lana recruits Ruto and some Hylian soldiers. Both parties battle over Death Mountain, seeking to reach the summit first.

Chapter 6 S – Droplets of Illusion // Lake Hylia

The feud between the Sorceresses continues to Lake Hylia.

Play as Cia or Lana as they fight off against one another in the flooding temple, or play as their allies Darunia or Ruto as they attempt to control the upper ground.

Chapter 7 S – Twilight of Madness // Twilight Palace

Having ravaged the land of time, the war of love knows no bounds as the two seers find themselves battling each other in the land of Twilight.

Cia joins with Zant as he attempts to defend his (usurped) throne while Lana tries to liberate the throne with Minda. Ruto and Darunia are also hitched along for the ride, continuing their support to their chosen sorceress.

    Chapter 8 S – Fading Twilight // Twilight Field

The palace taken, the battle spills out into Twilight Field.

Zant, backed by Cia, controls the top right while Minda, backed by Lana, controls the bottom left, and both parties rush to capture as many strongholds as possible to strengthen their side and weaken the other.

Chapter 9 S – Swords of the Sky // Skyloft

It seems nothing will end the feud between Cia and Lana. They open up another rift and end up in Skyloft, where, as history repeats itself, both sorceresses choose a side and continue their pointless warfare.

Lana, alongside Minda and Ruto, join with Fi while Cia, alongside Zant and Darunia, join up with Ghirahim.

Chapter 10 SUnsealed Ambition // Sealed Grounds

Cia and Lana set their sights on the Sealed Grounds, hoping to gain immense power for themselves by unleashing and defeating the Imprisoned. However, a third party, the guardians of the grounds, battle both sorceresses as they attempt to claim immense power.

Play as Cia’s group or Lana’s group as they race against once another to unleash and defeat the Imprisoned, and then, each other.

Chapter 11 S – The Price of Jealousy // Valley of Seers

The conflict, slowly coming to a full circle, sends the twin seers back to their proper location, but at the Valley of Seers. There, both Cia and Lana (alongside their time traveling companions) discover that Ganondorf has been ravaging the land of Hyrule while they were away, and Princess Zelda, alongside Impa and Link, are making their last stand here at the Valley of Seers.

Play as Cia or Lana as they “work together” to help Link fight off Ganondorf’s forces.

However, during the battle, Ganondorf manages to fatally wound Princess Zelda. Link goes berserk upon witnessing this, and Cia takes advantage of the situation, placing the blame of Zelda’s death on Lana.

Link will side with Cia, and the battle comes a three way between Cia, Lana, and Ganondorf.

Cia wins by defeating all opposition. Lana wins by managing to make it to the escape point.

Chapter 12 L (Finale) – My Heart Will Go On // Lake Hylia

Lana is shattered after the events that transpired at the Valley of Seers, having retreated to Lake Hylia. Luckily, Minda, Fi, and Ruto comfort Lana enough to face Cia in one final battle.

As Lana or her allies, defeat Cia and Link and end the pointless suffering. Alternatively, play as Cia, her allies, or Link as they go for decisive victory over Lana.

If Lana wins, she tears up over the wounded Link, saying that she never wanted this to happen. Cia, even in defeat, mocks Lana as she has successfully “claimed” Link for her own. Cia fades away, but Lana remains in existence. The blue sorceress cries over the fallen Link, but is surprised when he opens his eyes and offers some sort of apology. Some time later, Link is fully recovered and goes out on some adventure, never to be seen again. Lana, meanwhile, waits patiently for his return…

If Cia wins, she gloats over the fallen Lana, but the blue sorceress has one final card to play. The temple begins to flood, trapping Link, Cia, and Lana within. Cia embraces Link before he breaks away, and everyone slowly suffocated within the depths of blue…

Chapter 12 C (Finale) – Alive, Our Forever// Temple of Souls

Cia, having successfully seduced Link, lures him to her sanctum at the Temple of Souls. However, her obsession becomes too much to bear, even for her former allies, as Lana marches to the Temple of Souls to end the madness.

Play as Cia or Link as they defend their home against those who dare wish to tear them apart, or join Lana’s forces to put an end to this matter once and for all.

If Cia wins… Well, Cia is happy, that’s all I can say.

If Lana is victorious, Link snaps from under Cia’s control and breaks away from Cia. Cia, shattered by this endeavor, still clings to her denial as the Temple of Souls burns and collapses around her. Some time later, Lana and Link are seen together, seemingly in a relationship of some sort.

    Chapter 1 X – The Usurper // Twilight Palace

A bonus chapter featuring Twili Minda, it’s another classic Zant versus Minda over the throne. Yay.

Chapter 2 X – The Hero of Time // Temple of the Sacred Sword

An alternative reality to chapter Chapter 6 G – A Light in the Darkness. As things look hopeless for Princess Zelda and her companions against the might of Ganondorf, Young Link appears in a beam of light and begins fighting back against Ganondorf.

Play as Young Link as he inspires hope to the forces of Hyrule, or play as Ganondorf to swat aside this newfound pest.

    Chapter 3 X – A Great Fairy? // Death Mountain

It is said there is a great fairy on Death Mountain, but there are not any shrines anywhere…

It’s a Tingle chapter. Play as him or other people seeking the Great Fairy on Death Mountain and end up fighting or joining Tingle because reasons. Woo.

Quite intriguing. Then again I've never played HW so I'm not the best source of feedback around.

Well, looks like the custom battle editor isn't happening

Shame, it would have been perfect to play out our own fanfiction scenarios. It's so frustrating to get costumes for characters like OoT Link and OoT Ganondorf and have no way of making them fight each other.

Anyway... would you mind if I were to post here some of my ideas for custom battles, SirMark9?
They're mostly intended to expand the game's official story rather than tell a new one.

Sure, go ahead! I look forward to see what ideas you have to share.

    Ok, here I go then.
Guess I should offer readers the same courtesy and put them in a spoiler tag

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
First off... with the release of the Cia scenarios, the earlierst battle in the game becomes the one in which she goes into Eldin Cave to recruit Volga (and Wizzro).
That is, IMO, a terrible way to start off the story.
Rather I would have liked to see Lana fleeing from Cia. That, I think, would have proven a much better opening.

Ideally, I would have made it similar to the journey of Link and Impa through Eldin Caves, a "get from point A to point B to win" scenario, with Lana being completely on her own against a bunch of weak monsters (all keeps disabled so they can't be taken and spawn allied soldiers), while an overpowered Cia chases her down (or even better, a Cia that you can defeat but only for her to regain her health, like Volga does in some battles).

Of course that's in no way doable now... but perhaps it could be possible to find some Adventure Mode battle that matches this idea to an extent.
So let's boil it down to the core components:

    Escape into the Woods
    Stage: Faron Woods
    Playable Characters: Lana
Enemies: A bunch of Monsters (Possibly including Dark Cias?)

There may be a battle like that in the Termina map, perhaps one of the KO competitions.

Next, another thing that feels amiss with the Cia scenarios: why do we get one to set up the Twilight stages and one for the Skyward stages but none for the OoT stages? So then...

    The Patriarch and the Princesses
    Stage: Death Mountain
Playable Characters: Darunia, Zelda (with Goron Army support)
Enemies: Ruto (with Hylian Army support)

Naturally, "Zelda" is actually Wizzro (too bad we don't have a "pale Zelda" costume). Aside from that, this one should be pretty much self-explanatory.

Taking a big leap, I would have liked another battle between the retrieval of the Master Sword and the fight at the Temple of Souls.
The reason for this is twofold. One because we know the Temple is deep within the forest and it seems strange for Cia to just let them walk up her doorstep with no resistence. Two, because I feel Ruto never got a chance to shine in Legend mode. So let's have the Sage of Water fight a fire breathing dragon!

    Journey through the Forest
    Stage: Faron Woods
Playable Characters: All good guys but with a thumbs up reccomendation for Ruto
Enemies: Volga (and his Lizalfos army)

(Honestly, I would have preferred for Ruto to fight Volga in the final battle in "Shining Beacon" as player 2, while player one takes on Cia... but that would result in two Rutos, the A.I. one constantly giving out orders. It would be weird)

Even more so than the above march to the Temple of Souls, I'm pretty sure no one would hesitate in saying that the final arcs of the game, Ganondorf's and the Epilogue felt exceedingly rushed.

So after Ganondorf gathers his army and takes the Triforce of Power back from Lana, before he can confront Link and Zelda, it would be nice to have an additional build up battle.

    The Road to Hyrule Castle
    Stage: Eldin Caves
Playable Characters: Team Ganondorf, but with thumbs up for Ghirahim
    Enemies: Just the Hylian-Goron Army

This may be a tad simplicistic, but we've just had a battle against Lana and Impa, and coming up next is Impa again plus Link and Zelda. Therefore I think it's best not to involve any of them.
The reason I'd give Ghirahim a reccomendation is because, even in Free Mode, I can't relly use him in Ganondorf's arc without there being a duplicate Ghirahim, which sucks (with Zant, I can just choose to play as "Phantom Zant" and get around the problem).

If Ganondorf's rise is rushed, the Epilogue is even more so with just two battles. That is ridiculous, I feel there should be two more.

The first, could be set immediately after the catastrophic defeat at Hyrule Castle, with the heroes on the run and still licking their wounds.
A good place for them to take shelter in could also offer the chance for an unexpected ally to offer some support.

    Resistance
Stage: Temple of the Sacred Sword
Playable Characters: Lana and Young Link
Enemies: Army of Monsters (including giant bosses)

...because we all know that's the Temple of Time, right? So between that and the white sorceress' presence, it would be conceivable for the young Hero of Time to show up in the darkest hour and save the day. (Regular) Link, Zelda and Impa would not be in the battle as they are still healing up.

And as already stated twice... isn't it weird for an Amry to just waltz to the enemy's seat of power without opposition? So then, after beating Ghirahim and Zant in the desert...

    The Way Back
    Stage: Eldin Caves
Playable Characters: All the good guys
    Enemies: Army of Monsters

I know, I know... this is just a mix of the last two battles I described. But I just feel that a build up fight is necessary before the final confrontation and sadly all villains but Ganondorf (who obviously shouldn't show up now) are out of the picture.

So that's it right? Well... no. I just have to fit Twili Midna somewhere. So here's a whole new arc of sort, a coda made of three battles, one per each time period visited, though taking place some time after or before the events in this game.

    Race to the Skies
    Stage: Sealed Grounds
Playable Characters: Impa (possibly alone, in her Skyward Sword inspired costume)
    Enemies: Ghirahim

Ghirahim and his minions are attacking the Sealed Grounds to put a wrench in Hylia's plans. SWS Impa has to repel them before she can travel to the future and set the events of Skyward Sword into motion.

    The Legendary Goron Hero
    Stage: Death Mountain
Playable Characters: Darunia (in his haphazard Darbus costume)
    Enemies: Volga

Long before Ocarina of Time, a great Goron hero wields the Megaton Hammer to defeat the Dragon Volvagia. Turns out Volga was Volvagia all along, as he finds out after (somehow) travelling back in time.
So this one is kind of crazy... I don't care
Ever since seeing the first artworks of him, I was hoping for Volga to be Volvagia and that we'd see the battle Darunia tells us about in OoT. So dammit I'm making it happen, whether it makes sense or not (and the Darbus costume hardly looks like him, with the different build and haircut, so let's play pretend and say that it's another Goron).

    Homecoming
    Stage: Palace of Twilight
    Playable Characters: Twili Midna
    Enemies: Darknuts and Bullblins

This is straight forward enough: after breaking the mirror Midna returns to the Twilight Realm... but there's no time to feel sorry about the goodbyes she's just had, because even if Zant is dead there's still a whole lot of monsters he's left behind.

Back when I still hoped for an editor to come along, I'd been thinking of an actual post-game arc dedicated to Lana in her Guardian outfit going from time to time to fix the mess that Cia caused. I suppose one could fit a second player with Guardian of Time Lana in the first two scenarios above (Guardian of Time or not, she still wouldn't be able to get into the Twilight Realm after Midna recovers her true form and breaks the mirror), but no fancy scenarios in which she teams up with OoT Link to fight OoT Ganondorf, obviously.

That's pretty much it, for now at least.
As I anticipated when describing the first scenario, I'd really like to find Adventure Mode battles that can, to an extent, match the ones I described.
Wish I'd thought of them sooner: I've already played all of the Adventure Mode maps, so searching for possible matches will be a painstaking process. I suppose I could wait for an online guide to be written, but reading through that may be even more boring
