    Icon14 KLA's Sassanian Generals Mod (Development in progress)

    I am going to release 'KLA's Sassanian Generals Mod' in release day.

    I know there are many dissapointed fans. I believed that CA will fix Sassanian units. In latest videos/screens I see only changed colors of units clothes and delete heavy spearman unit (they had correctly Persian caps but CA deleted them from roster). CA said that historical characters will look unique, but their Bahram IV is completely not historical. I am dissapointed that CA didn't change it.

    Mod will include:
    - add beards and long hair,
    - delete turbans,
    - use those winged helmets with bearded mask,
    - use specific Sassanian helmets.

    Even if the Sassanids is not the faction I'll play, I support you (and I'll download your mod when it will be released)

    Nice idea, Assurbanipal. Only one question: As far as I know, the winged helmet is supposed to have been used by cavalrymen, are you sure it's appropriate for officers?

    Great news.

    The winged helmet would greatly fit the Immortals Cavalry either.

    And if in another next step you could change the cheekguards for coifs, this would be even better.

    Is actually in. In german they are called Unsterbliche Zhayedan-Kavallerie (Immortal Zhayedan-Cavalry). There type is a bow cavalry but they have also lances.

    How on earth do you know that Zhayedan use winged helmet? Where's the helmet? Evidence?

    Yes, but not in the 1st version because I nedd more time to modelling. I am going to release mod in Tuesday.

    I don't know if you saw it, but there is a bearded sassanian king. The thing is that it's his son or something

    But Bahram tottaly desearve a beard.

    I know a lot of people are dissapointed but, look at it this way: Whoever wants to design proper arab factions won't have to change much about the default generals.

    I'll look forward to this mod and try Sassanids as a first campaign. I wonder why CA couldn't make the few changes to create a more authentic appearance for this faction.

    Was looking forward to CA's take on the Sassanids but what they presented was very disappointing, glad to see someone setting things right.
