MULTIPLAYER SERIOUS LAGG IN THE LOBBY - help plz

Everytime i try and logg into the lobby i do so but such lagg appears, my ping reaches 1000 - 3000 and i dont know what the cause is, i run singleplayer on high details and it runs perfectly smooth, i have ADSL connection too its not like im using dial up, i encountered a few players who had the same problems and they dont know the cause too. n:

Any suggestions to what might be causing this, is it possible to be the GS server its self?

What kind of firewall do you have on. What happens when you shut it off.
