    Default Boris Johnson

Is he really the only politician with a sound grasp of the ludicracies of modern society?

How many paedophiles can there be? Well, how many homosexuals are there?

Joking aside, that is a pretty article he wrote, and he's a member of Parliament, to my knowledge, so... kudos you got someone over there that can speak like that about those things.

as a joke, thats not so much bad, as offensive
    tBP = not impressed

but to answer the question anyway, in the UK, about 1 in 18 are homo/bi/trans sexual

i wish we had more of people like him though. with the exception of him blaming the judges (its not their fault, they don't make law, parliament does) he's absolutely right. protectionism is one thing, but these days its just got absolutely silly

Canada needs more Boris', or rather, the first world needs more people like him. I've never seen any of those silly things first hand but I won't put it past people to do those odd things.

As for the joke, that's just my humor, finding something pretty alienating to say. I fall into one of those statistics, so I don't think I can be held up to the same light as actual homophobes...

Lol, I've said it before, I'm reiterating it so I can't be mistaken for something I am otherwise not.

And this Boris Johnson fellow, has he had any major involvement in any of the workings of government, or just simply MP with constituents here and there?

    Brilliant and I totally agree.

I have been saying for years that I would happily make him PM!

he's a conservative MP and Shadow Higher Education Minister.
he's well known for his politically incorrect "gaffes" that get laughed off by tory leadership as Boris being Boris...
he's bloody brilliant in my opinion!

didn't know you were gay/bi lol, must have missed that announcement...

So I'm guessing he's well respected? That's good, especially that he is of the more conservative disposition and can joke about the uptight-edness. I'll be sure to look around for more of him, thanks.

And I'll be sure to send out another round of memos...

Well respected? His opponents in the Commons respect him. Outside, no one does. Mainly for the reason that he exudes this fuzzy firendly gaffey jokey personality; blundering "Beano" Johnson. Bloody good performer on Have I Got News For You though...

Well, if his opposition respects him, usually that's good. So do you mean that Beano here is not respected by voters, or the populace at large?

Reading up a bit on him, he seems a capable politician, though I've yet to see his platform or anything. Also, he apparently got locked out of his house whilst talking to reporters, which is something I'd like to see happen to our politicians lol.

EDIT: He also looks like he's got classic Brit teeth, yum.

He is... laughed at, but respected for "Boris being Boris" moments, speaking his mind despite the party line.

I didn't know airlines had such a rule.
    Can someone confirm it?
Maybe he made it all up just to create a point?

Anyways: what the hell is a pedophile going to do during a flight?
I mean: unless there are no other passengers on the plane and all the stewardesses are on a, rather long, cigarette break.

The rules they have on many schools aren't anything like this rule.
Just because BA takes it too far doesn't mean the school rules are also going too far.
Whats so terrible about leaving the door open when you are alone with a student?

To all those who worry about the paedophile plague, I would say that they not only have a very imperfect understanding of probability; but also that they fail to understand the terrible damage that is done by this system of presuming guilt in the entire male population just because of the tendencies of a tiny minority.~quote

He is a cretinous, bumbling fool only in appearance. He'll play up to the Oxford/Cambridge educated elitist way of the world because it brings him notoriety and a platform for further development of his t.v and political career. He is also rather distinctive, which is an obvious advantage. He does however, occasionally provide insightful views towards key principles within our society that don't sound as though they've been scanned from a Daily Mail article telling us how bad British society has become. Being able to extrapolate the comedic absurdity from his encounter with BA highlights more the worrying trend towards political correctness within authority than the average joe appraising the situation from his terraced house.

I sometimes feel that radicalist students from the 70's have grown up and infiltrated most of the charitible/altruistic divisions within our society and have some unspoken agenda against, well, just about everybody.

Oh nos. Beware... Siblesz Jackson's on the loose. I am a danger to society. I put my arm around a 13 year old kid. That clearly shows my intention of digging a hole under his bed so that I can live with him for three months.

Or maybe Johnson is exaggerating (it wouldn't be surprising) and you lot are getting your collective knickers in a twist in exactly the manner he had hoped for.
