Stuck at loading splash screen.

Since i changed myself to 64 bits windows, third age total war wont launch, i mean i can see the splash screen with the ring rotating which means its loading, but that's the problem it never loads, neither the intro movie nor the menu, then i have to shut down the process to return to windows.

Its the first time this happens, when i had windows 32 bits, third age always launched no matter how many times i reinstalled windows. hoping some of you guys could help me with this problem.

1) Windows 7 I presume?

2) All TATW parts downloaded and installed: TATW 3.0 part 1 and 2, and TATW 3.2 Patch? No error messages during the installation?

3) Steam M2TW or non Steam M2TW version?

yes windows 7 64 bits, i got the mod version 3.2, and my version of medieval its the nonsteam one. I hope none of the files got corrupted.

Go here, and apply first three steps explained for Windows 7 Users: Edit Security for your main M2TW folder, unhide hidden folders, check the VirtualStore folder for Sega/ Medieval II Total War folder, and delete it if you find it there.

Then, try to start the game again. If it works, and, you can start a campaign, I would suggest to make a backup of whole Third_Age_3 folder somewhere so you can just copy/paste it back in case you want to play on another PC, or want to try TATW submods etc.

If you want to play vanilla TATW 3.2, I would also advise installing essential bugfixes for it:http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ntial-bugfixes

If you can`t start TATW after applying these three steps, then , reinstall TATW using method explained for non Steam users.
