    Default Question on Animations

Have any animations been removed by DeI? There are some killing animations I have never seen that are available via mods on Steam (increasing the chances of them). Before I go messing around with that I would like to know what DeI has and doesn't have, just in case the only reason I haven't seen it is luck.

Edit: Example of such mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...82&searchtext=

That's a good question and I would like to hear something about the animations generally. What I've read is that some of the really unrealistic animations are removed in DeI. There are animations tables in DeI and probably they block the reading of the R2TW animations tables, if the same file system applies to it as elsewhere with R2TW, so only the animations in the DeI tables are played.

Ye +1. For some reason in DeI there are no any kill animations.

Thanks for the info and the links. I do like DeI's more realistic killing animations for formed vs formed infantry as it is short and seems applicable for such formations. Wish I could only activate these more eccentric animations/killing animations for non formed infantry.

Does the Bloody Animation mod affect gameplay in any way? On a side note I would love to see someone make an official DEI submod restoring all Vanilla animations.

Usually animation mods attempt to adjust the kv_rules table in attempt to get matched combat to happen more frequently, as well as set the melee_secondary_attack value to zero to stop the "heart attack" type deaths. This severely alters game balance. Taking away the secondary attack is the biggest culprit in this respect. While the "heart attack" deaths are terrible, not having that secondary attack forces the lines into disarray as soldiers matched combat everything and disturbs health balance as the secondary attacks are no longer registered.

If possible it would be nice to have a DeI official submod restoring all Vanilla animations without altering the kv_rules table. A bonus would be, as I stated above, keeping DeI's current animation set for formed vs formed units.

Why isn't it simply possible to delete the animation tables in the DeI pack? What other files in DeI relate to the animations? Modding the kv_rules_tables to your liking is very easy but the animation tables are a nightmare for me.
