    Default Increased Unit Sizes

Is there a submod or way to edit the PACK file which doubles the unit sizes in the game? Doing so would, at least in the case of the Romans, make the game more accurate to how large their units actually were (although first cohorts would still be a bit smaller). I realize this is a petty thing, but I think it would make battles overall more intense due to their new size.

PS: Is it possible to have multiple officers in a unit? Cohorts were made up of six Centuria which were each commanded by a centurion. It would be cool to have them spaced out along the front of the unit with the standard bearer and senior centurion in the middle.

PSS: Kind of unrelated but I just found this out. I feel the Marian eagle cohort should be recruited from the level 2 barracks instead of the level 3. By the time you get the Marian reforms you are unlikely to have advanced so far in the tech tree unless you specifically drive for it and compromise your other research resulting in legions without eagles which in my opinion is terrible and awful and no good and very bad.

Yes, you can manually increase the unit sizes with PFM or add a x2 multiplier to the table column for unit size (in main_units_tables). For cavalry you also have to adjust the number of horses in land_units_tables. However, this won't affect existing units or garrisons in a campaign. If you want to change the size of starting units, it takes a lot longer as you have to edit the startpos.

Also I agree about the Marian first cohort. They should probably be moved to the level 2 barracks (probably the imperial first cohort too).

And on a side note, I made a submod with alternate unit sizes for custom battles (not double size though). It's too much work to fix the starting campaign units and garrisons as well.

It won't mess up naval units by having too many units than their ships can hold, right?

If you have too many men, some will get stuck under the middle of the map, instead of being on a ship. You can adjust the number of ships in the same table, but that comes with its own problems, in naval landing battles especially. I think transports can hold up to 200 men without problems, but I'm not sure about the various ship types.

For Naval units aside from the transports the largest can only hold a max of 160 without issue. Not sure if all naval units can only hold a max of 160 or if their maximum changes with ship size. I do know one of the Egyptian ships can hold 200 without issue.

I didn't mean on transports but on actual fighting ships.
