    Default Names?

Maybe Im just being picky but whats with the ridiculous names for leaders in regards to their country. Ive played England for 100 turns but never a general with an English name, at least an English noble name. Spain as well. King Edward? How hard could it have been to put Eduardo if they took the time to get the accents down. Anyone else notice this?

CA has never bothered with historical accuracy. But then again it's usually easy modded. "John" is obviously a common Greek/Byzantine name too...

So what kind of names do the English generals have??
"Can you believe it, Ariadne?" said Theseus, wiping the blood from his sword. "The Minotaur barely defended itself."

Playing as the English, I've had names for them like Roger, Richard, Harold, Edward, Toby etc.

Only dream I ever have. Is it the surface of the Sun?
Everytime I shut my eyes, it's always the same.

Well they are mainly Norman names of course, not English ones (Harold and Edward the exceptions), as are virtually all names in the game for the English that I've seen so far. But then about 95% of names that people think are "English" are in reality not.
Among the lower classes, true English names persisted for some 300 years or so after the Norman Conquest. But rapidly all the men of power came to have Norman names.
