Questions about building bonuses and provinces.

Heya guys, I've had this doubt for like forever. Let's say Italia for instance. You have 2 provinces with ports, if I make these ports Harbours (the commerce ones), naturally I'll want to build Temples of Neptune as they increase maritime commerce income. However, how do the bonuses from the Temples of Neptune take effect? Do the bonuses to maritime commerce only affect the region of the province they're built in? As in, I only really benefit from their economic benefit if they're built on the same region as the port? Or are the bonuses province-wide? So if I build several Temples of Neptune in all 4 regions, their bonuses will stack for the entire province, even in regions with no ports? Or do they only have effect in the regions with ports?

Those bonuses are province-wide, but of course they only affect maritime commerce. They won't affect "local commerce" or other income sources.
