Cannot install Third age total war

Hi I just downloaded third age total war both parts of 3.0, however my laptop does not run the installer instead it is just a file and asks what program I should use to open it. I have Windows 8.1

You probably downloaded the files by using Internet Explorer.. If this is true, re download using Mozilla Firefox or Chrome.

Yes i was using internet explorer, i downloaded chrome and it worked a treat.

If you need help regarding installation, you can use my Installation thread, it is made for Non Steam and Steam version:http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...h-pictures-!-)

After you install TATW 3.2, test can you start a campaign.. If you can, and, if you want to try out some of submods for TATW, then I would suggest to make a backup copy of whole Third_Age_3 folder somewhere so you can just copy/paste it when you want to install some submod for TATW.

Also, if you are going to play vanilla TATW 3.2 only, I would also suggest to install these essential bugfixes ( Install them AFTER making a backup ): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ntial-bugfixes
