What do you guys think about this?
Marc Alaimo as Ganondorf please:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
In all seriousness there's nothing I can really say. It's still 100% completely unconfirmed, Nintendo has not even said a tiny bit about the idea to confirm it's even real. I can't really make any assessment without knowing the writer, director, producer, and cast. Anything can happen with the super duper tiny bit of info that's been released... that info being a total rumor. It's probably best for us all to not go crazy until Nintendo comes out and confirms this.
Mr. T. as Darunia, please.
"I pity the fool who try to take my Ruby!"

I think this is a terrible idea, and anyone who supports it is doing so blindly.
*crosses arms and sulks away*
If this were actually to be a thing, the main problem I can think of is that Link is a legacy character, not a single one like say Mario. A show would probably try to mash as many things from as many different games and try to see what sticks, which is honestly, in my own opinion, not the way to go. Probably the best way, again in my own opinion, would probably try to adapt one of the more popular games such as A Link to the Past, or even just try to tell a separate story with the idea going behind it that this another incarnation of Link.
Depending on what people mean by 'like Game of Thrones for families" (to writers it means a large ensamble cast with multiple perspectives and no clear heroes or villains, to producers it means as popular as GoT), they might decide to focus on the world and its numerous factions rather than Link's place in it.
At which point, we basically have HTW: The Hollywood Drama...

Who remembers that Mario Bros. movie, eh? It was horrible.
Like I said, bring on Mr. T.

If you have to do it, it has to seriously be different than the games.
No green suit, etc.
More "inspired by" rather than "directly based on".
It's going to piss somebody off, no matter which way they go. I honestly can't think of ANY video-game movie that has worked out, much less a TV show. Games are such an inherently interactive medium that they don't translate well into movies. How do you make a Zelda movie without a bunch of dungeons? How do you film that without going cheap with a bunch of montages? Victor's idea of HTW: The Drama seems to be the only feasible course without pulling a Lord of the Rings blockbuster trilogy.
Now that could actually be really good. It won't happen, but an epic, long movie series covering the events of Ocarina of Time would be great. Zelda dungeon puzzles would still have to be glossed over, but imagine that journey done cinematically. Each movie would climax with Link fighting a great boss. That could be great. It will probably never happen, but it would be awesome.

That sounds like a good idea actually, but (assuming we take OoT as the film's material). 3 films maybe, (Young Link / first 3 Adult Link temples / last 2 Temples / Ganon's Castle with numerous references to sidequests) but it really is a lot of source material to try and work around.

there is a way to do zelda, have anyone ever hear of samurai jack, it's a show were the main wonders the world trying to get back to past to defeat the main bad guy, every episode the main character wonders into a conflict new conflict have something to do with the main bad guy or was cause by the main bad guy, that could work for zelda, just have link wonder hyrule trying to find the triforce to beat ganon and getting into conflicts while searching for it. samurai jack also doesn't speak much or at all, sometimes having episodes where he speaks two sentence, this could work perfect for link, who doesn't talk. It's going to piss somebody off, no matter which way they go. Din25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the
tyranny of evil men. Blessed is she who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through
the maw of majora, for she is truly her sisters's keeper and the finder of lost kin. And I will strike
down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my sisters. And you will know my name is DIN when I lay my vengeance upon you.
If it turns out to be true, I will definitely be giving it a watch.
If they do the "Zelda live action series" like, and as good as the "Lord of the Rings series".
I'm all for it.![]()
And as if there wasn't enough uproar among fans about wether this is a good idea or not, this list was made:
http://www.theverge.com/2015/2/7/799...a-netflix-cast
Zoe Saldana actually could pull off Midna with the right makeup.
Nick Offerman actually would be a freaking perfect Darunia.
Otherwise the sarcasm is strong with that list.
I don't know why but I find the universal negative uproar over this (still completely 100% unconfirmed!!!!!!) show to be a strange but funny change of pace to the usual universal praise before release of each new Zelda announcement.
I kind of doubt that this is real. I just can't see Nintendo suddenly deciding to so something so bold right out of the blue. If I am wrong though, then I suppose this will b e interesting to say that least.
I would honestly much prefer an animated Cartoon; that would fit Zelda much better.
