    Default Supply trains?

So after seeing a lot of the attila videos I've come to notice that they've shown a lot of carts, completely rendered models, in the cutscenes. Do you think at some point in the future CA might consider adding a supply train unit into the game? I could see it giving your units a huge buff on the campaign map/battle map if they did add something like this, and it would another cool strategic layer if you could destroy an armies supply train to damage their morale/integrity. What do you guys think?

They tried that in Rome 2 by giving armies in forced march a cap zone in land battles, which they had to defend.

It didn't really work well though and nobody liked it so now, whenever an army in forced march is being attacked, they get ambushed.

Yeah they should have added something like this long ago. There should be an actual physical supply train on the battle map.

Did you read his post? It doesn't matter.

People cried and screamed about it because they wanted to be able to camp at the corner of the map rather than understanding the fact that being caught in the open forced them to stand and fight and defend their camp. The Victory Point represented that Camp itself.

What difference does it make if they put a few carts in? People would still scream and whine about it even after having it explained to them.

As a victory point, I always hated the forced march capture point, but I feel like it would be interesting as a capture point that just affected morale. Make it so that as long as the "Supply train" is held, morale is normal, but you'd get a significant morale malus if it was captured. Just make sure the AI knows it isn't a victory point that they need to blitz for.

I was wondering about something like this, myself, and hope that a cart like that is present in the game files, even if it´s not added to the game as unit, we could add it. In fact I planned to do smthg like that once I find the cart model. It would serve like a unit with encouraging capabilities, which when lost as a unit, would give a heavy blow to the army´s morale. No need to tie it to capture point or similar things.
If you take this one step further, you could create wagon forts, and add them as deployables to defensive battles.
So, it all depends whether these carts that were in the previews are just for show in the trailers, or real and actual models from the game. If so, then a lot is possible.

well I'll be sure to look out for your mods then when attila comes out if that's the case :]

I know it's unlikely they'll give us the carts, but I just don't see the point in them completely rendering a full 3d cart model and NOT use it in-game. It just kind of feels like a waste, you know?
Asides from the carts I'm also looking forward to the potential full rome 2 remake in attila, as I'm sure somebody will see the interest in it. CA is giving us a lot of modding tools with attila so hopefully mods like carts and cart forts and whatnot can be made. I'm excited
