The free-merchant Tailles arrived at Durdane with a business proposition. He asked to meet the Count or one of his representatives.

The merchant is escorted before Lord Durdane who is sitting upon a grand throne in the Great Hall of his palace. Although the lord notices the new petitioner before him, he does not speak, referring to wait to here what this merchant has to offer him.

"I've come with a proposition. My associates and me are interested in stablishing a trade route between your system and Terra Nova, where our headquarters are soon to be stablished. Your system would benefit from the heavy machinery produced in Duke Cogaíoch's land, milord, and my corporation would be willing to pay a 5.000 crown tax yearly"

OOC: You technically only have to pay at most a 15% tariff or 4,500 crowns per route with an NPC.

Acceptance Roll: 10/20 with +5 modifiers for good tariff

Rolled a 3, Count Durdane happily accepts.

"That is more then generous offer and I will be happy to accept it."

I thought the % was taken out of the total 60k you make out of a route not the 30k of each resource

Yeah, it's a bit ambiguous as it's currently in the rules. It doesn't exactly state whether it comes out of the combined resource (rules only reference what your income is) or what the good is actually worth.

I would go with the second one for now until I can confirm it with GR.

I'll reread the entire thing and try to flesh everything out after I get back from class.
