Sieges problem
I was wondering if anyone else was encountering this problem in their campaigns: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e65/Taelok/0003.jpg
This has happened in each siege against Milan I've had now. They attack Caen, siege it then attack. The battle starts, no lag at all with all units on the screen, then I destroy their tower. They all run onto the ladders like this and the battle drops down to about 0.5FPS. This is extremely annoying, anyone know what I can do?
Oh and I never get a chance to deploy my men on the wall.
Only dream I ever have. Is it the surface of the Sun?
Everytime I shut my eyes, it's always the same.

Re: Sieges problem
Ive not seen that yet, sieges can be a bit strange at times,at least they were in romeTW.One prob i ran into was i had no time limit, and the french lost all his inf,and then sat out side with 8 units of cav,and no way to attack, and i had just 2 units of weak inf left,so we sat there with nothing going on,untill i attack and lost the city, bit stupid really, but i had no choice as he could hardly have his cav climb the ladders haha.

Re: Sieges problem
There is a bug with dead corpses during sieges. It makes the game lag.

Re: Sieges problem
It's not a case of corpses during mine though, there's barely been much fighting by the time the big lag happens. Though it could still be the cause.
Is there an official word out that the corpses cause lag?

Re: Sieges problem
Yes, definitely experience this too. Game goes from 50 fps to 1 and becomes unplayable. Same situation where all the AI#s units attempt to charge up one set of ladders or one siege tower...

That is why patch was going to be released this siege problem is known(I've red an article in 'Game Factor';not about patch, but siege problem). in my case they just didn.t attack not good when battle-limit is off.

Re: Sieges problem
It's not corpse related. I think it's to do with the the AI trying to tell all its units to go up one set of ladders or one siege tower at the same time. When the AI's taking several routes into the castle, this massive lag doesn't happen.
