The Campaign

Hi guys, forgive me for sounding like a noob, I'm not lol honest :-) I got my copy of MTW2 today and was wondering....

Are there only 5 factions you can play during the campaign? I did the short English grand campaign, and unlike Rome, no other factions were unlocked.

So... looks like I cant play as the Byzantine Empire, Russia etc.

I found some cheats which you guys probably already know as well :-)

You can play as all factions except for Aztecs, Timurids, Mongols and Papacy. You unlock the other factions by completing a camiagn i believe.

Or just mod them playable, see the modding section, I don't perfectly know how to do it this time around.

I did the campaign, nothing was unlocked.

I tried to mod the descr_Strat. It wouldnt let me, read only or something.

Any ideas please guys?

When you say "did," do you mean you started a campaign, or that you actually beat a campaign? You need to beat the campaign to unlock factions. I think in RTW, whatever factions one destroyed would be the ones one unlocked. Perhaps it is the same in M2TW.
