Truly Heroic Victory!

This is something that never happened for me in Rome. Whenever I won heroic victories, it was simply a massacre. The enemy would come at me with overwhelming numbers and I'd end up winning without taking more than 300 losses (less in most cases).

This game is wonderful though, the victory feels so much sweeter when it's actually challenging.

(And for those who are interested, The Scots couldn't afford the ransom for their king. Woops!

I was fighting the Scottish and no, he ran away and I captured him. He was then executed as they could not afford the ransom.

Wow. People getting better and better experiences with M2TW. Thats awsome. How did the Scots engage you in that battle? Because I notice 3 armies, did they coordinate? Was it really tactically challenging? Some details of the battle would be nice.

I got lucky actually, reinforcements delayed. The second group came together as I was routing the first. I mainly won this battle because I was defending and I had a hill position with lots of archers and crossbow men. Still they did take a large chunk of my army with them.

Nice job! I was attacking the last scottish army last night but they massacred me in the foggy forests and now the pope told me to stop attacking them so they got away on the last minute!

Same thing happened to me on my first campaign (which I lost). The Scottish absolutely butchered me in our first major battle.

Only if he is your last famly member. But if you have the hair aperant still alive then you are just out a general or govener.
