    Icon8 Too much corruption

im at around turn 250 playing as Bactria and using all diplomatic options submod i have 43% political influence because i had high civil war chance so i lowered it and now it is none but most of my provinces have 83% corruption on income which is way too much im making 11k a turn mostly from trade income after army upkeep i need help. here is a link to the save if anyone wants to look at it http://we.tl/HONmQEt7F8

Not sure if attachment was successful, but this file will reduce civil war chance while also reducing empire maintenance. Tweak as you wish. Make sure you load before dei (current filename will do this).

I was playing as Parthia, and I conquered all of the land from Bactria down to Gedrosia and all the way to Syria and Aegyptus (not Arabia), and up to Caucasia. I never had a moment of peace so I could not afford to upgrade my provinces, as a result I was quite poor. Corruption made me bankrupt forcing me to abandon my campaign. Hence why I have acquired this mod to make things a little easier if you get trapped into consecutive wars as I did.

This happens when you expand too fast and ignore empire maintenaince skills for your generals and governors. They exist for a reason, you know... The balance is fine and easy to achieve. Just get the -Empire Maintenance % skills on Generals and Governors and it will be a lot lower over time.

Don't forget the technologies in the Philosophy tree. Those also help a lot.

Yeah of course, this should go without saying. Most people don't bother with the Empire Maintenance skills for characters, which are a huge way of tackling EE, the more generals and admirals you have, the better off you'll be getting those skills as it really adds up.

And regarding the Philosophy tech tree, don't forget to complete each tier, aka all the technologies for each of the 3 "tech squares" with a I, II and III; you get -2% EE for the first box completed (the tier bonus is displayed when you hover over the roman numerals I mentioned), the others aren't as huge of an effect and take longer to tech but can be worth the shot if you like all the techs in the tree.

It should be called empire maintenance. It's called corruption in vanilla, but it's been renamed in DeI.

Basically, each governor and general/admiral can reduce EM by 6%, with some water tanks and an academy every single one 'can' start of with 4 reduction in EM --the tech tree reduces this even further. It's not very hard to reduce it to zero somewhere in the late mid game if u wanted too.

it is an important aspect of the game and you have to take care of it like Drowsy suggested.
