    Mucia de Noctre (68)

Count Mucia standing for his picture after crushing his Minister of War in a wargame
    * 2 General: He served his time in the planetary defence force, quickly rising through the ranks due to his birth and ability to grasp the concepts of modern warfare
    * 4 Mercenary Contractor: Self-sufficiency has always been the driving force of the De Noctre. However, sometimes it is necessary for willing guns to be hired for when enemies attempt to seize control.
    * 1 Counterspy: To run a slave colony is to risk assassination on a daily basis. Mucia understands the risks involved.
    * 2 Academic: He has always sought to guidance of scholars, so much so that now his life is ebbing towards the end, he wishes to study what came before. The peoples and races which once lived left much treasures for the de Notre to find. They just had to go and find it.
    * 4 Administrator: While he may not have pioneered his homeworld’s rapid industrialisation, he has at least ensured that the energy has not been lost to time. Running the slave colonies has also tested his logistical skill. He has not yet been found wanting.

    Alexander de Noctre (51)

Heir Apparent Alexander clad in his distinctive De Notre Custodian armour

    * 4 Admiral: While his father has always had an affinity to the running of the homeworld, Alexander has looked upward, to the countless stars. Having served since he was fifteen years old, Alexander is as tested as any military commander can be.
    * 2 Administrator: He is heir to the control of a planet. There are some things which he is needed to do. This includes the running of a military force capable of protecting his homeworld, and the interests of his family.
    * 4 Veteran Jump Navigator: He loves to pilot the warships of his homeworld, especially when it means he can test out a new technique or technology. Some rumours have it that he once spent time as a smuggler, or worse yet, the captain of the pirate vessel Mist.

    Philip de Noctre (32)

Philip after one of his daily live-fire sparring practices

    * 2 Duellist: His grandfather is the ruler of the planet. His father is the famed admiral of the PDN. He wants for nothing. Honour and tradition are his only driving forces. To this end, he has taken it upon himself to hone his physical attributes so that when he faces his family’s enemies, he is ready
    * 2 Charisma: Baron de Notre has his cold calculation and logistical mind. He has the ability to take a world of small islands and water, filled with alien slaves, and make it a prosperous land. Heir Apparent Alexander has his tactical vision, capable of turning a Planetary Defence Fleet in to a lethal weapon which can humble any foe. To compete with this, Philip has his tongue. He has his humility, as it is. He knows when to flatter and when to drive home a threat.

    - Manpower replenishment: 100,000
    - Planetary Defence Force (450,000)
    - - Free Upkeep

    Army:
    - - An oceanic world does not leave room for much of a population. However it does have the advantages of providing much more raw resources than other worlds. This has seen the army being given a secondary role to the navy. The army's duty, despite the outward displays of power, is to maintain control over the slave population. They are there to serve the De Notre in ensuring that the production of Majoris-grade military hardware never falters. The army is nothing more than a state stick to be used on those who would rather not serve House De Notre and the Empire.

    - Majoris Security Corps
    - - These men have been hand-picked for their unrelenting dedication to the safety of the human population on Majoris. They have served at least two years in the medical corps, on top of their five years compulsory service in the Infantry. They are as proficient as guards as they are as the spearhead of an invasion force.
    -
501st Iron Fist Legion (shock infantry battalion)
    - 46th Lightning Legion (shock infantry battalion)

    - Majoris Planetary Defence Force Medical Corps
    - - Being a medic not simply about delivering vital aid to a bleeding soldier on the battlefield. The job does not end with the war. These men and women not only serve the planet's relatively small army, but also isolated communities who would otherwise diminish and die out.
    - 11 Medical Regiments

    - Majoris Planetary Defence Force Infantry Corps
    - - The De Notre do not want their small army to be anything but a symbol of the majestic fury which can be unleashed upon those who would stand in their way. To this end, the soldiers of Majoris are required to participate in regular close combat exercises with entire battalions launching themselves at each other on specially created platforms. The result is a fighter who is just as likely to fire his gun, as use it as a cudgel.

    - 101st Infantry
    - 203rd Infantry
    - 272nd Infantry

    Navy
    - - The stars are where men are meant to rule. The unification of the galaxy requires the use of starships. Coupled with the fact that the best strategy for the defence of Majoris is to defeat the enemy before they land sufficient forces, means that the Majoris Shipyards have the lion's share of finances.

    - Majoris Defence Fleet
    - - Service in the navy is considered a better life than in the army. Promotion comes quickly to those who can handle the pressures involved. Increased pay and the higher chance of gaining glory in one of the silent battles fought among the stars always catches the eye of anyone unsure of what career to pursue.
