Skinning help

Hello I'm new hear and i was wondering how to get rid of the black boxes in the shield and cheek plates, As i am trying to replace the BI Comitatenses model with the Imperial Household Bodyguard

which porogram ur using photoshop otr gimp ??

its nothing but missing alpha channels

those black parts are removed in game by using alpha channels

open up image edititng program
now select the region which appears black in game
then go to channel opion and add new channel
paint the selected region with pure black color on alpha channel {not original layer}
thats it
now save the file in dds format with alpha channels

See part 4, any area that is painted black will not show up in game. any questions post them in that thread and i'll answer them, eventually, or pm me to let me know you have posted there. if you don't have photoshop look in the rest of the tutorial section for other programs such as gimp which is free to download.
