    Icon5 Constantinople looking

In my opinion, Constantinople looks strange. I won't describe historical issues, because many of them have already been written in other threads (let ignore the fact that there are Byzantine buildings from medieval times).

I mean that Constantinople is dirty, demaged buildings. Tiles are gray and faded. External walls of buildings appear to be damaged, dirty.
Let us remember that Constantinople was the new city. I think that the CA's artist saw today some buildings from that era and he did Constantinople.

I think that the city should have more life. Tiles should be red, and the buildings cleaner. Let us remember that the city was the finest in the world and was regarded as a "new Rome".

    Rome from RTW 2:

    Constantinople from Attila:

I'd rather see red tiles in also Attila...

There is great reconstruction by Antoine Helbert:

This style of city will be good to see in the game.

OK, thanks but I would like to show it for CA. I wrote that there were said about historical things. I think about aestetical aspects.
In your thread my post will "missed" after pages.

Maybe you prefer to copy/paste my qoute to OP?
It will be good if this request and reconstruction of city will be see by CA and other members.

P.S. Constantinople with gray tiles doesn't look like ancient Roman city...

There is no need to reconstruct the city in the game and mods can merge the threads.

The reconstruction link you provide is closer to the city in Attila than what you want.

You don't understand my request. I knoiw that it isn't possible to make copy of model city. I wrote about RED TILES on buildings' roof.
It is a detail, but very important. Look at screens which I posted. Rome from RTW2 and Constantinople from Attila. The first one city looks better. COnstantinople looks like have asbestos on roofs... Red tiles - details, but city looks better, cleaner and more ancient. It was a new city and the color of the tiles so quickly that not faded.

I had red tiles in mind actually. The color of the roofs in the reconstruction that you posted is more similar to Constantinople of Attila than it is to Rome of Rome II.

I didn't write about scale. Please, read as first, write later.
I wrote about details like tiles. Constantinople looks like asbestos buildings in the 4th century.

Where? In receonstruction there are red tiles. In the game tiles are light brown / gray.
I know something about sources of buildings. It isn't possible that new city will have that color of roofs.
P.S. Asbestos didn't discover in ancient tiiimes.

The tiles look pretty light colored to me in the reconstruction. They certainly don't have that glaring red look of the Rome II Rome shot. Not red by any standard. The major difference in the reconstruction is that it's brighter. Constantinople wasn't a city that was built in a day as well...

Have u ever seen a house with old red tiles? If u did then u would know that tiles loose color over time. However if its rainy than this red color is more visible than if its suny/cloudy. Redness of tiles also depends on clay and sand used for making them so u can get a great color palette of tiles from red to almost brown/yellow. If sandstone is used color of bricks and tiles is pretty much exactly the same as on that Constantinople picture.

It's all about atmosphere. The red colour would make the city warm and colourful, which clearly doesn't fit the game's dark feeling. I much prefer the current fading.

My friend KLA why Constantinople should look as Roman City? Why have red tiles?
According to CA's history lessons Constantinople was never a Roman city!
Do you think red tiles is the serius issue here? What about the prospective of CA geniuses that those walls that lasted 1000 years unbrieched and still stand, will be demolished in a turn (a year) by the formitable power of rain and wind!!! Also take a look to the wall towers! CA did not even made a single modification to roofless towers instead of those with roofs!
Damn Emperor Theodosius and his fortification enginearers never thought to ask CA about that!!!
EDIT: CA developers did not even take a look to this site!!
    http://www.byzantium1200.com/contents.html
Those videos could help them too!
    https://www.youtube.com/user/Byzanti...?feature=watch
    Why complain though?
Everything will be according to the New Medieval History writen by CA/SEGA!

TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

Wrong, the walls were collapsed more than once by earth quake

Wrong again! The Theodosian Walls MADE when Constantinian ones colapsed by earth quake!
Theodosian Walls had been damaged by earth quakes BUT NEVER colapsed!!
To colapse they needed 2 centuries without damage fix and 170 bombards by Ottomans!!
