    Default Unit Variant Mesh driving me potty

    I wouldn't post if I wasn't desperate - & becoming a little blind trying to find the Unit mesh for the following - AOR unit.

    Egyptian Cavalry - the AOR one, recruited from a rank 3 city structure.

    I can find all the other units I have wanted to mod, but this particular Mesh is proving very tricky to lock down.

    I have scoured the VarientMesh files to death in DEI pack 2 (the steam version) where most of the meshes are kept, its not amongst the Egyptian meshes, or the AOR meshes or the Garrison meshes, or the Greek meshes, I give up.

    Please help me kill the greek farming hats of dooooommmm

    If you see AOR 5 and AOR 6 Germanic Hunters meshes somewhere in your crusade, please tell me!

    You can find the name of the variantmesh definitions in the unit_variant tables under the "variant" column. In this case the unit uses the vanilla Egy_Cav variant, one of the few variants I think not edited currently.

    The longbow hunters are the ger_longbow_hunters vmd in the mod pack.

    Not longbow hunters, the AOR 5 and 6 germanic hunters (that archers you can get from start as Suebi).

    Yes, I believe they use the same variant as longbow hunters

    Well, so I should forget the idea to give them shortbows to make longbow hunters a more relevant unit, right? I could do it just at land units table, but I would like to make the weapon used match with the model...

    You can change what variants are assigned to units in the unit_variants table.
