Language problems with Steam

Hello,

I've got a problem with the language settings of Medieval 2 for Steam. My native language is German, so this is why my Medieval 2 for Steam is in German, as well. But since there are no German translations of the latest submods for Third Age Total War, I decided to change the game language to English. But it simply doesn't work although I have tried EVERYTHING! I went to the option "game properties" in Steam and set the language to English but it didn't work. Then, I set Steam itself to English and tried it again: didn't work either. Then I completely reinstalled Medieval 2 and tried it again. But since Steam does save your game files in a cloud even if you uninstall everything, the game files didn't change after having reinstalled Medieval 2.

So please, is there anyone who could give me some advice? I HATE STEAM!

Sorry for double posting.

Now, at least Steam manages to download the English language packs for the Kingdoms campaigns when setting the game language to English in Steam's game properties. But unfortunately, it still won't download the English pack for the base game, but still the German one. I simply don't get it. Is that a problem of Steam itself? Is there anyone who could help me?

Have you tried to contact Steam support?

Tried Setting both Steam and game language to english? Have you tried with adding a language command?

Other solution would be to set both your Steam and game to english, and then setting your Windows system to english as well. LINK
